  The three tours had been great. I enjoyed the stops and have no real complaints about the tours that were scheduled. But the planning and information update could be better by the tour company. I’ve spent months confirming every detail of the trip and asking questions about anything I could expect about trip pick up or departure before I headed out. But when I finally got to Greece and headed to take the transport to my hotel, they didn’t have me on file. After double checking, they had the wrong name for me on their list. And after a week of assuring me they will send the pickup to airport details to the hotel before I actually depart, they didn’t send any detail to the hotel. I had to email the company a few hours before I actually left to find out what’s going and when should I expect to meet them to go to the airport. So be prepared to keep in constant contact with them. The superior hotel is also a bit lackluster. The exterior is beautiful and there’s a nice beach outside but the interior isn’t really a 5 or 4 star stay. The beds were really hard, the phone was broken, and there were mosquitos and ants in the room. Getting picked up for the tours from this chosen hotel had also been hard because they cannot fit the bus into the area the hotel is located in. You will have to walk 15 minutes down to the next hotel for pickups and back after dropoff. For older trip goers this might be an issue.Show more

  The tours were the absolute highlight of this trip. Our tour guides Maria and Darrel were both excellent. The breakfast and supper at the Central Hersonissos hotel were also excellent. The beds were hard for us, but you can ask for a topper for them, which made them very comfortable. I would highly recommend this trip, and if you get the same tour guides we did, you are in for a treat! They are both a wealth of information, and Darrel, who did our Land Rover trip, is charming, incredibly knowledgeable and full of dad jokes!Show more

  I thought it would be a Group Travel, but it was just a Booking of a Hotel with excursions. The Hotel Central Heronnisos was great. Friendly staff, nice rooms and good food. The Jeep Safari was nice: a personel small group. The other excursions were mass tourism from TUI:Huge buses, big groups, grouded places. When I came to check in in the hotel, there was the first problem: The agency had booked in the hotel only Bed and Breakfast, no half-board for me.The agency booked at TUI and they gave me the telephone number from TUI, but they did not know me, because I had no TUI Reseration number. So I had 2 hours to do with phone calls and emails and so on, to get my Half-Board. If I would know this, I would not book it, because I prefer local agencies. The same happend to other people who had booked that trip. The really worst thing was: The transfer hotel to airport didn-t work They have forgotten me, so I organized the transit by myself. Ok, now they gave me the money for the transfer back, but I was afraid to miss my flight.Show more

  Very good tour. Accommodation and day tours were great. The major problem were the transfers. Dropped off on the side of the road and told to walk approximately 500 metres to the hotel with no directions, the tour pick-up point was a 10 minute walk from the hotel and finally after waiting for our airport transfer for over an hour at the designated pick-up location had to organise a taxi ourselves. We were refunded the allocated transfer amount not the actual cost of the taxi so out of pocket as well.Show more

  Hard to give a great review when the following things happened. 1. On our arrival day, we were not picked up at the docks as arranged and promised. Thanks for the refund for what we had to pay for the taxi! That was much appreciated. 2. The Jeep tour was the wrong tour and we did not get to go and see the birth place of Zeus as was in our intineray and what we expected and wanted to see. 3. The hotel said they were never informed nor able to cater to my special diet and allergies. This was hard on my body. I find this surprising because the Jeep Tour company was fully informed and handle everything very well. 4. The other 2 days the tours were ok and the guided was very well informed, but sitting on a bus for almost 2 hours as the bus went hotel to hotel to pick up people who had booked a day tour was not what we expected. The tours that we did have were good. Very informative.Show more

  Everything was very well organised and the tours we made were very interesting or in beautiful nature. The guides were excellent, very kind, very helpfull and widely documented about history and special items in nature and agriculture. Darrel, the Safari driver had the real and right skills to drive on difficult paths. He was a lovely man, who told us really everything and again , he helped us with all kinds of things. My son, who is disabled , got all the help he needed, also from the passengers. The hotel was outstanding. The Sea was at our feet, the service was super and the food could’nt Be any better! For the tours we had to Be picked up in the other hotel “Creta Maris” . That was too far way for my disabled son. In the evening after a very busy day in 30° , we had to return on foot to our hotel which was really Difficult. Thomas,my son and me, we couldn’t visit the cave of Zeus. It’s far too difficult for a disabled person. I think you should have told us this, in advance. Now it was a disapointment. Our room in the hotel was too far from the dining room, again difficult for Thomas and it was quiet steep for him.   We were picked up from Heriklion and taken to our hotel. Hotel was good, my only comment is that we would have preferred to pay a little extra and gone all inclusive as we could only have food in the evening meal which also included water that we had to pay for. However, hotel its self was very good and plenty of shops to look at on the road. Bus stop just opposite hotel took you to Heraklion for about E3. All Tours picked up from the hotel as specified. boat trip and lunch was good. Trip to knossos was very informative and ticket was also valid for the museum in Heraklion, which we visited in the afternoon. The safari trip was fantastic. Jason our guide was funny and knowledgable. We learnt a lot about the villages in the mountains, saw the sunken village, visited a goat herder and watched cheese being made then tried them with raki. Amazing Day especially travelling on the roads up the mountains. Very good value for money.Show more

  I cannot speak more highly of Destination Services. Given the current situation with Covid, this tour was technically cancelled,however because I currently live in Germany and had booked my flight, I was still going to Crete. Instead of giving me a refund and letting me just figure things out, Destination Services went out of their way to ensure that I recieved as much of the tour I had scheduled as possible, we had a wonderful time, we could not be happier with Destination Services and the scheduled activities were really great, we really loved the off roading trip.Show more
