How can I get by telecabin to the high elevation Alps?

unfortunately this is not something we can assist with.

I noticed it said we pass by the Vipava Valley and I was wondering if it is simply a pass by or there is any wine-tasting/vineyard visit?

This trip doesn't stop and do any wine tastings in the Vipava Valley. Mostly views of that and the Julian Alps from the train ride to the underground caverns at Skocjan.

Do you have access to discounted airfare from the US?

All our trips are land-only packages, and we don't assist with international airfare. This particular trip starts and ends in Ljubljana.

Will there be a tour schedule on Oct 2026?

We have all of our 2026 dates out and unfortunately this tour doesn't run for October 2026. The last date in the year is Sun 20 Sep 2026 to Sun 27 Sep 2026.

is change of date flexible? in case there are issue that we are unable to travel on our initial travel date. Is it possible to move our booking to other dates without penalty?

This trip is one of our discovery trips so more or less a sightseeing trip. So if there are any walks there are not hard. We offer a Walking in Slovenia hiking trip on the same dates that is rated leisurely to moderate. Walks on 5 days for between 4 to 7.5 hours. The hikes are graded as moderate on 3 days and leisurely on 2 days. The paths can be uneven and are often stony and rocky underfoot, so hiking boots or shoes are essential.

Is there a similar tour that takes in the Postojna cave in April

All our departures start in May I`m afraid as the it is warmer and more comfortable to travel on these days.

Does this tour visit Postojna Cave?

As it is not on the trip notes, it will not be something that we will add into the itinerary.

can we pick up the tour in Slovenia?

Yes, sure, you can join the tour. One thing only that you need to organize a transfer to the hotel by yourself because we can arrange a transfer to flight's arrival only.

Is it possible to leave it with the travel agency before tour starts and pick it up on a way back? Or if we travel with the same car, just to store it in the car then that I don't have to carry it around?

We would need to check with our local agent at the time of making the booking to see if they can offer secure luggage storage for you, as normally luggage is transferred from Hotel to hotel with you when you transfer to different accommodation.
