    We currently have plenty of availability for 5 people on that trip, e-bikes would be on request once we had a confirmed booking, however it should be no problem to secure 2 e-bikes on that departure. This trip is graded as moderate with the average daily distance being approximately 25 miles per day. There are some quite big ascents on this trip.

    For this tour the group usually departs between 8am to 9am on rides. The tour leader will verify locally.
    
    We've graded the cycling on this tour as moderate. You don't need to be a pro to take part but you should have a basic level of fitness and enjoy being in the saddle.
    We'll take on some steeper ascents and sharp inclines as we head down the coast.
    We encounter a variety of terrain on this tour, to give us access to the best scenery and minimise our time on main roads. As such our cycling routes are generally along quieter country roads and good off road sections, some of which can be surfaced with gravel or light sand. Our bikes are designed to handle these, with wide tyres and solid frames for stability.
    On our way in and out of towns or cities, we will encounter traffic. Although typically light, traffic can, on some sections be moving relatively quickly, so you should have a basic road awareness. Your leader will highlight any sections to note well in advance.
    It can get very hot in Portugal, if you're travelling on a summer departure, remember to pack light layers and sun protection and carry water at all times.

  is there a way to have a solo room? if so what is the single supplement? also, the description says that there is a almost always an ensuite bathroom. does that mean that sometimes there is no bathroom in the hotel room? also what is the average age of the clients. looking for a bit older for my client. 40-70 ish.

    During our tour of Portugal, we stay in comfortable-grade hotels throughout. Our accommodation has been chosen with location, comfort and authenticity in mind and all offer a good level of service and standard amenities like a restaurant or bar. Rooms single or twin with en-suite facilities, air conditioning and WiFi.

    We do not offer any helmet helmet rentals for safety purposes. Your included bike is a 27 gear Stevens Galant and will be the correct frame size for your height. A pannier is included as well as the facility to fit your own pedals or saddle if you wish to bring them. We provide spare parts and take care of the day to day maintenance. All you need to bring is your own helmet and water bottle.

    Bike information - Your included bike is a 27 gear Stevens Galant or Savoie hybrid and will be the correct frame size for your height. A pannier is included as well as the facility to fit your own pedals or saddle if you wish to bring them. We provide spare parts and take care of the day to day maintenance. All you need to bring is your own helmet and water bottle. Electric bikes (available for an additional supplement from £200) will be a Stevens Lavena PT5. These have a low step-through frame, and are suitable for heights from 153cm to 190cm. Please note these are subject to availability on a first come first served basis and the cost is subject to change.

    We don't have any self guided tours with Explore. They are all fully guided. In saying that, we are small group (maximum of 16 but average 11) and we hope that you enjoy the ride as you would at home, you can go at any pace you like, as long as the group meets up at the 'next checkpoints' just to make sure we are all still together for the day

    when i go online to the hotels listed for your tour, there are different levels that can be selected: ocean view, balcony, etc. could I not contract for a little nicer room, location or view?
