- Day 1
Kochi
You'll arrive at Cochin International Airport and head to your hotel to settle in. Later this afternoon, walk through Fort Kochi to see the colonial buildings, then stop by St. Francis Church and the Jewish Synagogue, which has these ornate Chinese floor tiles that are quite something. Before evening, you'll catch the Chinese Fishing Nets in action along the water. To finish the day, you'll have a traditional Kathakali dance performance.

Kochi to Munnar
You'll drive to Munnar, a hill station sitting at about 1,600 meters up. After checking in, you'll explore the tea estates and their fresh aroma, then visit the Tea Museum to learn how tea gets made. Next, head to Eravikulam National Park for views and a chance to see wildlife. By late afternoon, you'll reach Mattupetty Dam where the water reflects the tea gardens around it.

Munnar to Periyar
You'll drive to Periyar in the Western Ghats, known for its wildlife and the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. After you check in at your hotel, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy the quiet natural surroundings of this tiger reserve with its dense forests and spice plantations.

Landmarks Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary - Day 4
Periyar
You'll explore the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, a 925 sq. km protected area with an artificial lake that's been there for over 100 years. If you want, there's an optional boat ride where you might see elephants, deer, and if you're lucky, a tiger. Birdwatchers will find lots of different species here. Later, you can optionally visit the spice plantations in the area.

Periyar to Alleppey
You'll drive to Alleppey, sometimes called the 'Venice of the East' because of its backwaters and canals. You'll board a traditional kettuvallam houseboat and cruise along calm backwaters past paddy fields, coconut groves, and villages. You can watch local fishermen working, spot migratory birds, and experience the quiet Kerala countryside. Meals are freshly prepared on board.

You'll start your Mumbai tour by taking a ferry out to the Elephanta Caves, which are UNESCO World Heritage sites from the 5th to 8th centuries and dedicated to Lord Shiva. You'll return to see the Gateway of India, built in 1924. Then stop at the Prince of Wales Museum with its artifacts from the Indus Valley and Mughal period. End by visiting Hanging Gardens overlooking the Arabian Sea and stroll Marine Drive, the 'Queen's Necklace' that lights up at night.
