I am planning to travel on my own. What is the cost for a solo traveller on this tour?

Can you please let us know the date? We are requiring at least two travellers and we need to check where we have other bookings.

Which September dates already have other bookings?

For the moment the only date in September when we have other bookings is September 17th.

I'm interested in booking the best of Romania tour in 10 days with Rolandia, on either of the last two Friday dates in June 2026. I'm advised by the company information to make contact first about a booking, as it look like the dates I would like currently have no other bookings to guarantee departure for a single traveller. Could I still book, but have the option to move the departure day is it doesn't fill up in time to run?

We have another lady that is looking to book the Best of Romania in 10 days either on 19 or 26.06. You can proceed with the booking. Once we have two guests, this tour is guaranteed.

I would like to do this one and add the Moldova circuit, could it be possible? And what is the price if I book the hotels myself?

You can add this extension only at the end of the tour.

What are the maximum of people on your tours and what type of vehicle do you travel in?

Unfortunately, in September we don't have other guaranteed departures for the Best of Romania in 10 days.

We are able to contact you directly by phone only after a booking is confirmed. Please note that our groups are limited to a maximum of 7 people, mainly for logistical reasons.

Is tre trip leaving on the 29th of august confirmed yet? Is the accommodation meant to be shared with a same gender traveller?

What is your single supplement price on the Best of Romania 10 day tour?

We offer two types of departures for this tour: Guaranteed Departure – Every Friday, with a minimum of two travelers. In this case, the single supplement is 275 EUR. Scheduled Departure – If there are fewer than two travelers, the tour still operates as scheduled, but the single supplement is 450 EUR.

I am a 64 year old female from Melbourne Australia and would like to book this tour for any day between 10th and 25th September 2025. I will be travelling solo and would prefer to be with a group. Could you please let me know if there are any others booked on any specific dates and how much the single supplement will be.

We currently have two available options for the Best of Romania 10-day tour: September 19 – 28 with two other guests interested, and September 11 – 20 with one guest on the waiting list.

Excellent tour. Our guide/driver was Traian. We had booked the group tour option, but it was only the 2 of us, so it ended up being a private tour. Traian was very accommodating and informative. Our biggest disappointment though was the size of the car (VW Jetta). It felt very cramped, especially on the many long drives. A vehicle with more leg room would have been much more comfortable. All of the hotels were very nice and well-located. However, our stay in Iasi (Grand Hotel Traian) was less than satisfactory. It was very noisy, lasting until past 10pm and the breakfast service was lacking--food was out, but there was no one around to fulfill any requests.Show more

The tour of Romania greatly exceeded our expectations. There was enough activity every day so that the tour didn't lag. Each day, it seemed, there was a particular surprise that made the day special. The guide, Emil, was wonderful: we can't say enough positive about him. He had a very sophisticated understanding not only of his country, which of course you would expect, and the larger Eastern European region, but I was very impressed with his understanding of the United States in particular. In addition to everything else, he was a very nice guy--humorous, witty, very quick mentally. This guy is a keeper!Show more

The tour was good. there are a lot of cities visited. The drives are long between cities. They should allocate 2 days stay in hotel in the middle of the tour. It was difficult to pack and go every night.until we reached Bucharest and then there is 2 night stay at the end of the tour.the hotels were good. Specially the Log cabin in the mountains. We also think that the tour everyday started too late, that is why there is traffic and longer drives. They should start the day by 8 am. That way you are at the sites earlier and don’t get caught in traffic. The restaurant are not accommodating with regards to separate payments for meals when there is a group sitting together. The tour should inform the restaurant’s they use that there should be options to pay separately for each travellers or if they don’t provide this service the tourist should have the option to sit separately or go to a different restaurant.Show more

Sophia was incredible designing a tour perfect for us - right pace, perfect balance of history, scenery, culture, cuisine and accommodation (guest houses where possible). Sophia was fast to respond to any queries I had, and communication was clear and precise. Mihai was the perfect guide or us, as he quickly understood what we were hoping to see and do in Romania (and worked out quickly we were enjoying Romanian cuisine!). He was a safe driver, knowledgeable, and has an infectious personality. We had a lot of fun with Mihai. My wife and I enjoyed the tour very much. Traian was a great guide, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful; it was especially appreciated that he gave us some space and free time to explore and experience places by ourselves. Highlights for us were: the home cooked lunch in Viscri and the traditional Romanian dinner in Voronet; Bran Castle; the drive through Bicaz gorge; the city of Brasov; and the painted monasteries of Bucovina. However, there were some challenges and so things you might consider looking at: the Europa Royale Hotel is opposite The Urbanlist venue which had very loud music playing until 2am the nights we were there which greatly disturbed our sleep; the general area around the hotel was frequented by strange looking men that made the area feel unsafe; we would have liked to stay 2 nights in Brasov to see more of the city; and there was some communication problem with our transfer to the airport on our last day which lead to a stressful situation for us.Show more

I am a 64 year old female from Melbourne Australia and would like to book this tour for any day between 10th and 25th September 2025. I will be travelling solo and would prefer to be with a group.   I need to know that either of these departures is guaranteed asap and what the cost will be for each with single supplement. Not sure I understand why the person interested in tour departing on 11th is on waiting list. Think I would prefer 19th. Please confirm cost for both dates.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 15th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 15th, 2026, a minimum payment of $120 is required to confirm your booking with Rolandia. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Rolandia will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Rolandia" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
