The guides in the national parks were amazing- knowledgeable, nothing was too much trouble.Using their telescope to spot and watch wildlife was a highlight. The itinerary was well balanced, from tropical dry forest and fumaroles to elevated cloud forest , mangroves and beaches. Seeing resplendent quetzals and sloths was a real thrill. It was an incredible trip. My only criticisms would be lack of information beforehand via the app. We did ask to add extra optional tours which would have required more time to sort out, but it would have been reassuring to have questions answered more fully via the messaging in the app. For example I didn’t know how we would be notified re pickups etc. A simple message re you will receive a detailed itinerary online would have helped. This was sent a few hours before we flew. We were met by the driver with a print out on landing. The other issue. Not enough time was allowed to transfer from Monteverde to Manuel Antonio. We were late arriving and our tour guide for the park had left. It was only the help of the hotel reception making a call, that we he guide kindly returned for us.Show more

Destination Services Costa Rica is a smaller company and I couldn't find out allot about them, but their Exotic Costa Rica tour lined up better with what we were hoping to see on our visit. Communication was not direct, so I didn't always feel we were on the same page. In the end, EVERYTHING was line up in a wonderful manner .....accomdations; tours; and transfers! Transfers were not only on time.... they were there early. All accommodations were in nice condition overall, and staff were very accommodating. You will not have a tour leader or guide that stays with you through the trip. However, in all instances the hotels had all the information on what, where, and when for us. I would certainly travel through them again, and recommend you to consider Destination Services Costa Rica on your journey to Costa Rice!Show more

- For any tour departing before November 9th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after November 9th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Destination Services Costa Rica. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Destination Services Costa Rica will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Destination Services Costa Rica" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
