  We did the overland tour and Croatian Islands Cruise. The cruise was amazing stopping at many swim spots. The cruise director Tanja was very helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble. We were under the impression we had a tour director but every part of the overall overland tour were private companies. Nobody was overseeing any of people on the tour. We had people on our transfer to Plimace Lakes who were supposed to be on another tour. Making the driver drop them off at a service station for them to change to a private vehicle. This made us late to Primace Lakes so we couldn’t do the boat ride on the lake. Overall Cruise meals and accommodation was good.Show more

  Nature Trips- were slow to respond to queries. Details for the trip ie. were not received until we had arrived in Zagreb and complained when there was no one to collec us. The booking at the hotel was for one not two. The travel agent caterina cruise co were able to help us with this and supply me with an itinerary as well. They were helpful. In Split we only discovered what boat we were on from asking the tour guide on the day of departure. The actual cruise we enjoyed and I can recommend this to future travellers. I suggest folks should use their own travel agent to make bookings.Show more

We were the only guests booked on tour days in Zagreb and Plitvice, so we basically had a private tour and service just for us! wow! The ship we used was branded new, spotless and very comfortable as was our spacious cabin. Excellent the food on board. ! Croatia is fabulous. Tour highly recommendedShow more

  Fantastic Tour with Nature Trips. Marko offered us a free upgrade to the Deluxe Superior ship perhaps due to lack of passengers. The ship was brand new, with Jacuzi at guests' disposal. The common areas are large and very clean. The fact is we had a spacious room on the upper deck of the ship with a window and a view of the ocean! Stunning! Excellent dishes served by the chef on board the ship. We really enjoyed the visit to the Plitvice lakes and the consequent possibility of combining the tour of the interior of Croatia with that of its fantastic islands. Brilliant customer service offered before and during the tour. Highly recommendedShow more

  Overall it was a good vacation, Marko was always quick to respond to my questions. The reason I am giving this a 4 star instead of 5 is because there was little issues I had to deal with during our trip, we were on vacation and did not need to stress about those issues. One issue was the last minute change of ship without notifying us about it. Second, our itinerary was also changed due to the ship change. The way our itinerary read was that we were included on the daily tours, but apparently we were not, which we had to pay for one of the parks and Marko did message me saying we would get reimbursed for it, but have yet to receive that reimbursement, in the same message he informed us that they would include us in some not all the tours. The land tour part was great and went without a hitch, the cruise part not so much as the ship manager was rude to us on the first day immediately after boarding and Although Marko was great with communication in this manner, it did not help the situation when he informed the ship manager of our complaint right away as it made the rest of the cruise awkward with her and she must have also told the crew. Aida was the ship manager, she did change her attitude with us and was a bit better plus I’m sure the culture difference had something to do with her manners as I noticed a lot of Croatian people seemed to be this way. Also the captain of the Avangard, the ship we were placed in, was unfriendly and rude. We tried saying hello when we saw him and he simply ignored us. The captain also yelled at some of the guests and myself one night as we did meet wonderful people on board, they invited us back to their room for a glass of wine to celebrate a guest’s mother’s 80th birthday. We were sitting there just chatting and getting to know one another when the captain bursts in and yells at us like if we were little kids! Mind you I’m 37 and the other people in the room are all over 40. He yells at us saying “this is not a bar! You go now!!” We were only having wine to celebrate an 80th birthday not being wild! The captain left and immediately comes back again before we even have a chance to get up and yells “room is for two people only! Room is for sleeping only! You go now! Leave!!” There was no warning from him prior and he could have handled this more professionally. We also had to pay taxes at the end of the cruise, which we for sure thought they were included in the package and I also paid $50 or $60 dollars extra for some meal and my friend did not pay this but we both had the same meals so I’m not sure what the extra amount was for?? Also, for the cruise be prepared to tip all the crew at the end of the cruise, I don’t have a problem with tipping the crew as the food and drinks were excellent and our rooms were cleaned every day, but it was a hassle to worry about that on the last night as we are getting ready to leave ship. My friend and I are both under 40 and we were placed with mostly over 40, I know they say it’s the end of the season and they get older people towards the end, but we saw other ships managed by the same company with a younger guest list under 40, which seamed to be more lively. We didn’t get to swim but once on the first day of the cruise, the Hot tub was not hot at all, I tried telling a crew member and he shrugged me off saying it takes time to heat up and walked away… it must take weeks to heat up cause it never got hot. I really wish we had experience Croatia in better terms and in better weather, I’m not sure that I would go back although it’s a beautiful place to visit and we met wonderful people who were also vacationing on the same ship as us. I would like to say that Marko was great with fast communication through emails, but maybe be more discreet about taking complaints from guests so that the crew and ship manager don’t know who complains.Show more

  Unbeknownst to us, our cruise line was "Katarina Line Cruises", which is mostly for older, retired people. I have no issues with older folks, but that would have been nice to know. First of all, we got changed to a different boat, and we weren't told until that same day. Apparently, the original boat we were suppose to be on was nicer. Our itinerary was changed too, it was similar but things that were originally included, were not included in this one according to our rude tour guide, Aida. Most of the staff on our boat were rude, especially the tour guide, Aida. Aida was rude right as soon as we met her. She started off by asking for our passports, and then she repeated in a very mean and rude way, "What city were you born in?". What does that have anything to do with our tour? She went on to make a statement, that my friend and I were the only Mexicans. My friend and I were both very mad and and felt discriminated, as later we found out from other tourists, I was the only one she asked that question to. She also made it a point to rub in our face that some things in our tour package were not included, when they were suppose to be. Later, we talked to someone from the travel agency and complained about everything to them, they ended up adding things in the tour but not everything. After that, we confronted Aida for being rude and having an attitude with us, and she gave us a fake apology. One night, my friend and others were drinking in someones room, just talking, celebrating one of the lady's birthdays. The captain went in and yelled at everyone, as if they were little brats, demanding everyone to got to their rooms and stop drinking in the room. Really?, like WTF! We never saw a smile from him until the day he said bye to us. The bar tender, Jakov/Jacob, was rude when it came time to pay the bar bill. I was asking him a couple questions in a nice and calm manner, and every time, he would answer with a smart ass remark, like: "I don't know, you guys are friends, you figure it out!". Also, it was not clear if and who would transfer us back to the airport, again, we had to contact the travel agency to figure that out, even though, all of that should have been set already. For those reading, please note, Tour Radar works with many different companies, so you don't know which ones you will work with. I advice people to ask for details and read up on their reviews. I had no issues when I traveled to Turkey with tour radar, but Croatia, was an entire different story. Best wishes!Show more

As for the average age of cruise passengers,it is usually around middle-aged customers. Depending on the periods it can vary slightly, for example in July and August on the same tour we had customers around 35-40 years, the month of September and October instead has more older customers. You have never asked us about the average age of the passengers if you had, we would have been glad to inform you about it. This has never been a problem in the past. Curiously enough, a sizable upgrade was presented by you as a downgrade. For all this I must point out that on our part there has not been a downgrade compared to the original tour but a considerable upgrade. The cost of the Split to Split Deluxe Cruise itself is considerably higher than the one paid, and that of the Superior Premium Ship Cruise. It is also not correct that previously included services were not included, as the cruise you took was an upgrade with services not present in the original tour. For example Spectacular evening dinner cruise along the old town city walls of Dubrovnik, AuthenticCroatian Village party visit & dinner on Pelješac peninsula, Cable car in Dubrovnik etc. I am really sorry that the tour did not meet your expectations and the experiences offered were not fully appreciated. As you should know, a non-positive review, and a series of inaccurate information, can cause serious problems at the work of the people behind the tour. They are particularly striking, especially for a small company like ours, which makes honesty, customer service and the quality of the services offered the cornerstone of its work.
