Unfortunately, we don't have any China tour departures within your requested dates. Standard visa processing typically takes about 9 to 10 working days, plus additional time for return postage. To ensure you receive your visa on time, it is advisable to apply a minimum of 45 days before your trip.

What is the age range?

This tour accepts passengers from age 16 and above, however those below 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Those above the age of 65 will need to complete a tour suitability form, which will be provided at the time of booking.

I'm a solo traveller, is there a single supplement?

There is no mandatory single supplement on this tour, as travellers can choose to be roomed with a fellow solo traveller of the same sex for no additional cost. The overall experience with the trip was ok. In Beijing it was quite very short was we have seen ; it was the whole day the Forbidden City and what you can see from outside . The site is very crowded and it is very difficult to see everything at a normal pace as most of the time we were rushed through. Exhibitions that were presented in the venues weee skipped . The Mao Mausoleum was also not part of the tour Besides this nothing else from Beijing The Great Wall as a very nice experience Loyang was very nice and the Terakotta warriors as well Unfortunately we were to some „selling places“ were in my opinion we spent too much time and the staff was behind you pushing for purchases. The main tour guide Kevin was amazing. He did a great job and was always helpful and gave us a lot of information Kelly our tourguide in Luoyang was amazing too and such a lovely and smiling person Cristina in Xi‘An was Bit hard to understand and she was overwhelming us with too much historical information Rooney in Shanghai was so friendly and helpful and made our day in the city a great experience Thank you to all guides for the job done , presenting us China as a very great country!Show more

gave an overall rating of average because we were not informed at the time of booking that our tour was during the National Holiday in China. Because of this, we were not able to spend quality of time at our destinations, the amount of people at these places were extreme. We were not able to go to destinations originally scheduled for, but was routed to others places which yes we did enjoy. We just felt if knowing this was there holiday and what it was going to be like we would have scheduled our tour for a different time. This also affected the transportation rating because we spent a long time in traffic to get to places at one point spent 4 hours on the bus sitting in traffic just to reach our destination.. Which again, hindered our time at that location, also due to the holiday, the overnight train to us was unacceptable because couples were not placed in the same car overnight and had to stay in separate cars. The itinerary was good, just seem to spend a lot of time having to walk to catch our bus and being left far distances away from the entrance points. This would not have been a pleasant experience for someone of advanced age. As for the accommodations, would have also been nice if we had been informed that at the time of year we were there the hotels did not have air conditioning. The weather was very warm and all but 2 of our hotels did not have air, might seem petty however when you are "on the go" all day and need a good nights rest and the room was extremely hot kind of hinders a good rest. Jason was a very good guide and was funny and helpful and knowledgeable, he did a great job. Overall, I feel if we were not there during the National Holiday I feel our experience would have been very, very good. It is something people should see but beware of the time of year..Show more

I travelled sole and meet some awesome people on this tour to china. on the go tour was exactly that! on the go. My flight was delayed and my guide was there to greet me. Great start to a tour. Accommodation, meals, transportation was excellent. Our tour guide Matt, James was very informative with so much information on china it was amazing. We had a small group and I wouldn't have had it any other way. We got to do some special stuff to save time and get us to sights other wise we wouldn't have seen or experienced. I would like to give a great thanks to those who where with me on this tour. I had the best time and laughs. I made new friends. One of my bucket lists was the terracotta warrior's, great wall.. it didn't disappoint me. I feel privileged to have been able to see all this. I felt safe all the time thanks to my guides who I'm sure I gave a few heart stops as I'm well travelled and would wonder off intrigued in this ancient land. Thanks guys for looking out for me. It was extremely crowded due to holidays. My guides esp Matt kept us all together. The accommodation was awesome! I loved every hotel we stayed at. Staff where accommodating and friendly.   I've eventually settled on the China express tour-8 days which is a little shorter. Now I have to agree with my boss for the dates, so in case August is not possible, is there any guaranteed departure in July (6 or 20/7).

- For any tour departing before June 8th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after June 8th, 2026, a minimum payment of $400 is required to confirm your booking with On The Go Tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 70 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
