    Is it possible to take the ferry back on the night of the 9th and make a flight from Champhun that leaves at 7:30?

      If you pre-book the Bangkok Express you would take the ferry back to the mainland and board an overnight train to Bangkok. The train arrives in Bangkok around 06:10am the next day however, the arrival time may be subject to delays. The distance from the train station to BKK Airport is approximately 40 km, which takes around 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on traffic conditions. A flight that departs at 07h30am will not be feasible. If you do not take the train back to Bangkok you would need to make your own way from the mainland (once you disembark from the ferry) to Champhun.
