  This was supposed to be an English speaking tour. It was a Spanish tour with about 8 English speakers on it. Our "English" guide was Spanish and had trouble with English. The first day on the tour, the English speakers were given headsets with one ear bud. The Spanish guide used the overhead intercom. We had English coming in one ear and Spanish in the other. The guides were not at all familiar with Poland. Everything they told us was read off their phones. They couldn't help with restaurants, local sites, etc. The hotels were mostly great, except the second one. It was very subpar. Not very clean, broken fan, windows would not open properly, etc. The Auschwitz tour was horrible! We were supposed to tour at about 1:00, and we didn't get to tour until 5:00. We had no guide and only saw a small part of the camp. Even our guide had promised us to see the famous gate, but that was in the museum, that we were not touring. Everyone was very upset! Some of us had come especially to see the camps! This should have been at least a half day tour, if not longer! This would have been a great tour, if we would have had a different company, guides that knew Poland, and a company that cared what their customers wanted. Sue CarverShow more

Our tours are conducted in at least two languages, and while our tour leaders are not necessarily local to each destination, they are responsible for providing the scheduled commentary and assistance in the designated languages throughout the journey. However, we sincerely regret that your room in Kraków did not meet the expected standards of comfort and maintenance.   Terrible tour company. I will just give a few of the many lowlights of this trip. 1). We never got our transfer from the airport 2) We were dropped off at every city and had no guide with us. We were only told where to meet and a time. 3). We were dropped at a very small town for nearly 4 hours. By the time we got to Auschwitz, it was after 5 pm. Our itinerary said that we would get to Auschwitz by 2:15 pm. We were never told that our ticket would allow entry to both Auschwitz 1 and Auschwitz 2. We were dropped at Auschwitz 2 and had about 1 hour there. When we asked the ticket taker how to get to Auschwitz 2, she informed us that it was too late to go to Auschwitz 1 on our FREE ticket. The tickets are FREE after 5 pm in the summer. So we paid the tour company for a ticket and they left us at the little town for so many hours that we would enter Auschwitz on a free ticket. The itinerary stated that we would see the museum in Auschwitz but we arrived so late that it was not possible to go there. For most of us, this was beyond disappointing as we selected this tour due to being able to have a guided tour in Auschwitz and seeing the museum. The itinerary also stated that it was a guided English tour; however, both tour leaders were Spanish speaking. I expected local Polish guides for this tour. Also, the tour leaders, NOT guides by their own admission, read everything from their phones when we were on the bus.Show more

As outlined in the detailed itinerary, each city visit combines guided sightseeing with free time, allowing passengers to explore independently. Regarding Auschwitz, your tour included a visit to Auschwitz II. Please note that the itinerary times are approximate and may vary depending on operational conditions and the guide's daily planning. We are sorry that you were unable to visit Auschwitz I as you had expected. With respect to the language of the tour, the program you booked is bilingual. Our tours are conducted in at least two languages, and while our tour leaders are not necessarily local to each destination, they provide the scheduled commentary and assistance in the designated languages. On certain visits, local guides may also join the group to provide more specialized information.   The itinerary for this tour is good. The implementation, not. This began with the lack of promised transportation at the airport. The English-speaking guide was also not evident. We did have 2 local city guides who spoke English and were excellent. We did have two tour leaders, both primarily Spanish-speaking. Our tour was a mish-mash. Two other group members joined, some departed. As English speaking customers, I felt treated as a 2nd class participant. The first day began with the Spanish-speaking members being placed in the front of the bus and the English in the rear. Also, the tour leaders - they specified they were NOT guides, provided no means to contact them. AND we had one person lose the tour and they were not aware! We were given a brief overview of cities, a meeting place and left on our own for 2-4 hours. The promised Auschwitz tour, both the museum (Auschwitz 1) and the memorial and Auschwitz-Birkenau were abbreviated so we were unable to visit Auschwitz 1, the most important to most of us. Our itinerary said we would reach there at 2:15. We arrived approx. 4:30. So by the time we walked from the parking area to the entrance of the memorial area, we entered under the after 5 p.m. free ticket instead of having a guided tour. Additionally, the leaders primarily read all provided information from their phones. Give me the link and I can do that myself.Show more

Seat assignments on the coach are not fixed and may occasionally be organized according to operational requirements to ensure the smooth running of the tour. Regarding communication with the tour leaders, in compliance with data protection regulations, they are not authorized to share their personal contact details. Any assistance required during the trip is provided through our official communication channels. As outlined in the itinerary, each destination includes a combination of guided visits and free time, allowing passengers the opportunity to explore independently at their own pace.   It stated by not being picked up from the airport. We waited for almost two hours at both meeting points. No one showed up. Itinerary does bot match what was promised at all. We are dumped regularly for hours in a city with te worst being on the day we were going to Auschwitz. Instead of going at 2.15 pm we went 5pm. Stayed 4 hours in the city where pope John Paul II was born. One church to visit. In Auschwitz we stood in line as individuals with a free ticket and not as a group with a tour. Dumped in Auschwitz II where we could see baraks and gas chambers. The last ones were closed and were only to be visited with guides. You are lucky if you could sneak in along with a group. The famous gate (Arbeit macht frei) and the museum were not visited. Group is 75% Spanish speaking and changed twice in the week. English guide can hardly be heard in the back and is reading his talk off his phone. This is just the tip of the iceberg. I am sorry never again with Tourradar/Europamunda. Worst tour of my life.Show more

  This tour could not have been better. Every site was beautiful and interesting, the guides were informed and helpful, and hotels were SO comfortable and well situated. Everything was carefully organised. I particularly liked the way that rest stops were scheduled in beautiful villages, rather than at has stations, as is the case on some tours. Europamundo is absolutely first class. I will always look to them in future.Show more
