However, the tour seemed to cater more to the 90% of travellers who were Latinas, with approximately 80–90% of the tour commentary conducted in Spanish and only 10–20% in English. The sights and experiences on this tour are absolutely amazing! We got to experience geysers, water falls and ice bergs - yes, ice bergs!- up close. We saw many humpback whales on our boat trip out into the fjord. The food in Iceland, though quite expensive, is fabulous, and the people are friendly and helpful. Do not miss an opportunity to experience one of the thermal baths! We had a wonderful tour guide, Vik, from Arctic Adventures. He amused us during our time on the road with interesting anecdotes about his life in the very areas we were touring. He was patient, helpful and one of the highlights of our trip! That said, this tour is non-stop, with a different hotel every night. There is really no free time. We also found the mini-bus to be quite cramped, comparable to economy class on a plane. Be aware that airport transfers are not provided, so you have to find your own way. We booked the tour through On The Go Tours, who turned out to only be the "middle man", as they in turn book the tour with the local company, Artic Adventures. Great tour, lots of hiking over rocks and uneven terrain, jam-packed agenda, wonderful people!Show more
