Our recent tour across Egypt was nothing short of extraordinary, and that is entirely thanks to our incredible guide, Mina Malik. From the very beginning in Cairo, Mina set the tone for what would become a truly unforgettable experience. Visiting the Pyramids, the Sphinx, and the Step Pyramid was already breathtaking—but Mina brought each site to life with his deep knowledge and genuine passion for ancient Egyptian history. What made this even more impressive is that English is not his first language, yet he explained everything so clearly, engagingly, and with such enthusiasm that we were completely captivated at every stop. The itinerary itself was amazing—from an unexpected upgrade to a flight to Aswan, to exploring the beautiful Philae Temple, and then beginning our Nile cruise. Along the way, Mina guided us through Kom Ombo, Karnak Temple, and Luxor Temple with such care and insight. One of the absolute highlights was the sunrise hot air balloon over the Valley of the Kings—an unforgettable moment. In Luxor, seeing Hatshepsut’s Temple and Tutankhamun’s mummy was incredible, and Mina ensured we understood the significance of everything we were seeing. Later, in Hurghada, we had the chance to relax and enjoy snorkelling and scuba diving. What truly sets Mina apart, though, is the way he looks after his guests. He consistently went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy at all times. He checked every hotel room personally and, on the rare occasion something wasn’t right, he resolved it immediately without hesitation. We always felt completely taken care of. Mina is not only knowledgeable and professional, but also incredibly kind and warm. Over the course of the trip, we built a genuine connection with him. One of our favourite memories was spending our final evening playing Uno together with the group—laughing and reflecting on what had been such a special journey. By the time we returned to Cairo—exploring the vibrant bazaar and visiting the Grand Egyptian Museum—we realised just how much Mina had shaped our entire experience. Saying goodbye to him at the end of the tour was genuinely emotional. Mina Malik is, without question, an absolutely outstanding tour guide. He made our time in Egypt truly incredible, and we feel so lucky to have had him leading our journey. He deserves the highest recognition and every opportunity to continue guiding future travellers—anyone would be fortunate to have him.
