Bergen
You'll arrive in Bergen and get picked up at the airport for a transfer to your hotel. This evening brings your first gathering with the group and your National Geographic Expedition Leader. There's a welcome reception and a presentation from the expedition expert before dinner, so you'll get oriented and meet everyone on your journey.

Bergen
A guided walk takes you through Bryggen, the historic Hanseatic wharf with its colorful wooden warehouses that are on UNESCO's World Heritage list. You'll head to the Fish Market where lunch happens at a local restaurant serving Norway's coastal food. After that, the rest of the day is yours to wander around Bergen on your own.

Bergen to Flåm
You'll board the Bergen Railway, one of Europe's most scenic train routes that winds through soaring mountains. At Myrdal Station, you switch to the Flåm Railway, one of the steepest standard-gauge lines anywhere. During the hour-long ride, you'll see waterfalls, cliffs, and fjord views before arriving in Flåm village. After a short walk around town, you have free time, then dinner at the hotel with local beer samples.

Flåm
You'll take a private boat through the Aurlandsfjord and Nærøyfjord, passing sheer cliffs and waterfalls. From there, head to the Flåm Fjord Farm for a guided tour where local hosts share their traditions and stories. Lunch is a seasonal farm-to-table tasting menu. In the evening, you'll join a floating sauna session with a local sauna master learning about this important Norwegian cultural practice.

Flåm to Loen
Visit Borgund Stave Church, a well-preserved medieval wooden church from the 12th century with intricate carvings and dragon-headed details. Lunch is at the museum cafe with local specialties. Then head by coach toward Loen, stopping at Båyabreen Glacier. In the evening, ride the Loen Skylift, one of the world's steepest cable cars, up Mount Hoven for dinner and views over Nordfjord.

Loen to Geiranger
Travel to Geiranger and go up to the Geiranger Skywalk at Dalsnibba, Europe's highest fjord viewpoint at 1,500m, where you'll see snow-capped peaks and the deep-blue Geirangerfjord waters. In the afternoon, take a fjord cruise past sheer cliffs, abandoned mountain farms, and the Seven Sisters Waterfall. The rest of the day is free, then you'll gather for dinner.

Geiranger
Start with a curator-led visit to the Norwegian Fjord Centre before it opens to the public, learning about the region's natural and cultural history. Then spend the day on Trollstigen, the famous mountain road, stopping at dramatic cliff viewpoints. Ride the Romsdalsalen Gondola up Mount Nesaksla for lunch with great views. End at Lingebakken Apple Farm for a guided walk and tastings of ciders and jams.

Geiranger to Oslo
Depart for Oslo, driving between the peaks of Jotunheimen and Rondane National Parks. Stop in Lillehammer, the 1994 Winter Olympics host city, to see the Maihaugen Open-Air Museum with over 200 historic buildings showing Norwegian life through centuries. After a guided intro, have lunch and explore the grounds on your own before traveling to Oslo, arriving early evening.

Then visit Bybi, an urban beekeeping program learning about biodiversity. In the evening, gather for a farewell dinner celebrating your Norwegian expedition.
