- Day 1
Tbilisi
Start by walking through Old Tbilisi's narrow streets where you'll find yourself surrounded by traditional architecture and local life. The 13th-century Sioni Cathedral sits in the heart of this area, and you'll want to spend time inside exploring its interior. After that, head across the modern Bridge of Peace to Freedom Square, which gives you a nice contrast between old and new. From there, stroll down Rustaveli Avenue to see shops, museums, and the city's main cultural landmarks.

- Day 2
Sioni Reservoir - Mtskheta - Tbilisi
You'll start early for a private jeep safari through the Greater Caucasus mountains toward Sioni Reservoir, where the alpine scenery really opens up. Stop for a local mountain lunch, then continue to the ancient town of Mtskheta to explore its old town streets and visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. On the way back to Tbilisi, you'll stop at Jvari Monastery perched on the hillside. Later this evening, settle in for a folklore evening with traditional Georgian music, dance, and dinner.

- Day 3
Gori - Borjomi - Bakuriani
Drive out to Gori early and spend time at the Stalin Museum, which holds thousands of 20th-century artifacts and offers insight into a significant period. From there, head to Borjomi where you can walk through the Central Park and check out the famous mineral springs that draw visitors to the area. The 19th-century wooden architecture in town is worth wandering through before you continue on to Bakuriani, a peaceful mountain resort sitting in the Lesser Caucasus with nice alpine views.

Later, drive to Vardzia where you'll explore Georgia's largest cave complex with its network of chambers, chapels, wine cellars, and defensive passages. The return journey to Bakuriani takes you back through the mountain region.

Ushguli Village

Kutaisi - Martvili Canyon
Begin your day in Svaneti by checking out the Museum of History and Ethnography, then head to the Margiani House Museum to get a sense of how people lived in a 12th-century family home. From there, you'll drive down from the Caucasus Mountains toward Kutaisi. Once you arrive at Martvili Canyon, you're looking at a 2.4 km gorge that the Abasha River carved out over time. Plan to walk through parts of it and then take a boat ride to see the canyon from the water. The whole experience gives you a good mix of local history and natural landscape in one day.

- Day 9
Prometheus Cave - Tbilisi
Visit Prometheus Cave to explore Georgia's largest cave complex with its underground world of stalactites, stalagmites, underground lakes and rivers. The cave system is extensive, so plan to spend several hours there. On your return journey toward Tbilisi, stop near Shrosha to browse the traditional pottery market where local artisans sell ceramic vessels and souvenirs. From there, you'll continue back to the capital.
