Itinerary
- Day 1
Yerevan
You'll arrive at Zvartnots International Airport where your tour representative meets you for the drive to your hotel. Once you settle in, spend the afternoon walking through Yerevan's main sites. The Cascade Complex has contemporary art spread across its terraced levels, and you can see the Opera House and North Avenue from there. Republic Square sits in the city center, and the Blue Mosque, built in the 18th century, shows off traditional architecture. Head to Matenadaran in the afternoon to look at ancient manuscripts from Armenian, Greek, and Persian sources. By evening, relax in Winter Park before heading back to your hotel.

Ararat Valley - Garni - Lake Sevan
After breakfast, you'll drive to the Arch of Charents for views looking out over Ararat Valley. From there, head to Garni Fortress, a 3rd century BC site with a pagan Temple of Garni from 1 AD still standing. The Symphony of Stones, a natural rock formation from volcanic collapse, is nearby and worth walking around. Later, drive to Lake Sevan at 1900m elevation, which locals call the Pearl of Armenia. If you're interested, you can walk around Sevan Peninsula to see Sevanavank Monastery and take in the lake views before the drive back to Yerevan.

Khor Virap - Mount Ararat - Areni
This morning after breakfast, head to Khor Virap Monastery. The site sits with Mount Ararat's snow-covered peak in the background, giving you direct views of Armenia's national symbol. The monastery marks where St. Gregory the Illuminator was held before Armenia's conversion to Christianity in 301 AD. Later, drive to Areni Winery to taste different Armenian wines and learn about the facility's history, which goes back around 6000 years as one of the region's oldest wine-making operations. You'll return to Yerevan by evening.
