Is it possible there will be an opening or a second tour group for the Portugal Explorer Small Group Tour for May 17-23, 2026?

Unfortunately we do not have any accommodations available for a second tour, but we have spaces the week before and after, would that suit, or would you be able to change your flights?

Do you have special rates at the Maxime hotel for June 13 if we do the tour that starts on June 14?

What is the earliest that we could schedule a flight on the trips last day, June 20?

I am looking to see the dates available for this tour for February 2027. They are not listed on the website. Do you have any coming up at that time.

We are currently working on the bookings for 2027 and expect these to be available next week. As soon as these are up we will let you know.

Is it possible to go to Fatima during this tour?

Our Portugal Explorer tours ends in Lisbon so you could always stay an extra night or two at the end of our tour and take in Fatima on your own time. It takes approx 1 hour and 20 mins journey time from Lisbon to Fatima.

How do you handle odd numbers especially if we want to travel and see things together?

there is on problem with uneven numbers is would not affect your trip. Even on the bus the seats are a row of two and one with the isle in between. So you can use set all in one line, chat away and have fun. It also does not effect the actives or sites, you are all travelling together, so all is good there. So you are one group during the duration of your trip. We have only one tour going at the same time and it's a small group with 15 passengers max, so it's one group without any splits.

Is this tour guaranteed or based upon minimum number of participants?

All our tours are guaranteed so that provides peace of mind when you book.

Is there a possibility for this tour to start on the 17th June 2025

We are from South Africa, doing a tour in Italy till 16 the of June and would like to do this specific tour. We can only start on the 17th or 18th of June.

Could you please inform me on the number of people signed up for this date and clarify the transportation details? Specifically, would like to know if a minibus or train will be used on this adventure.

Currently 6 people have singed up for your date and we would love to welcome you to our tour as well. We use luxury Mercedes mini coaches which are really comfortable.

I have paid the deposit for this tour and now the price has changed. Is there any chance to get the new advertised price please?

The new advertised price is $7866 and when we paid the deposit 3 weeks ago it was $9255.30, which is $1389.30 more.

Are there rooms with twin single separate beds on this tour as we are friends travelling together

We get loads of friends travelling together so upon checkout you can select a twin room which means you have two beds in each room. Of course each room has a private room and all the hotels are really nice.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and went out of his way to show us historical sites that only the locals would know about. Each hotel, restaurant, attraction etc that we stopped at was remarkable (locally owned, in the family for generations). We had never been to Portugal before and this was a great way to be introduced to it. There's nothing we would change - can't stop talking about our experience. I have travelled across Europe many times but this was my first time in Portugal. It is now my favourite place to visit. It exceeded all my expectations. Every day was a highlight! There were no low lights. I would highly recommend The food was amazing, simple and well prices. Porto stood out for me! It was such a vibrant city with everything to offer. We saw out-of-the-way places we never would have stumbled into on our own, and were helped every step of the way by our trusty guide Fuego. He was incredible! We learned so much about the Portuguese history and culture from him. And he had the entire group laughing for days. We were sad to say goodbye! The hotels were excellent, the experiences really well done and the scenery was unforgettable. Most of all I loved the people I met in Portugal. I hope to go back someday!Show more

There is no hotel included on the last day, however we recommend the following hotel, which is used as our meeting point on day 1. Hotel Maximel, Pra\u00e7a da Alegria 58, 1250-004 Lisboa, Portugal. As the tour ends between 5pm-7pm, we recommend booking your flight for the following morning just to have piece of mind.

  Our tour prices are set at the start of the year based on the costs we pay for accommodation, transport, activities and services throughout the tour. Once set, prices remain the same for the year and do not change or reduce closer to the departure date. The reason April tours are priced slightly lower than May is due to seasonal cost differences, particularly accommodation. April is typically a quieter month in Portugal compared to May and the peak summer season, which means some of our accommodation partners offer lower rates at that time. These savings are reflected in the overall tour price.

We are currently looking at accommodation options, and if the tour begins early, we wanted to check whether we would need to stay at the same accommodation as the tour? If we were to stay at an alternative accommodation, could you please let us know how this would work in terms of check-in, check-out, luggage storage, and meeting the group?

  The tour starts at 08:00 Am. You dont need to stay at the same accommodation at all, so no worries there. If you have something else in mind that is easily arranged but I would recommend not staying on the other side of Lisbon as traffic can be hectic at times.
