I loved the 2 homestays on this trip! They were great local experiences. Our Guide, Reluca, was awesome! We always knew what the plans were, ahead of time. She answered all our questions and checked on us regularly. The only improvement I would recommend is to be clearer in the itinerary that Budapest City is not included, so that Travellers know to do this on their own time. I did not realize this or I would have arrived a day earlier.Show more

The guide was excellent, the hotels were clean, comfortable, and the hotel staff were overall helpful and friendly. More attention should be given to the varieties of vegetarian food in the selection of restaurants for the group. After more than 20 km a day, salads as a dinner is not enough. Moreover, if you organize a sea food tasting, have an option for vegetarians or people who are allergic to sea food. I just left the group at this point and walked by myself because I was not going to sit and watch people eat while I have no food options. Again, salad is not a substitute for what the other group members had. Also, the farewell dinner was heavily based on meat dishes. As a vegetarian, I only had salad and one tapas. In future trips before signing up, I will inquire about the food options for vegetarians before I join Interpid trips.Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before September 8th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after September 8th, 2026, a minimum payment of $400 is required to confirm your booking with Intrepid Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
