Itinerary
- Day 1
Dublin to Portrush
Head north from Dublin, stopping at Stephenstown Pond Nature Park to break up the drive. Once you reach Belfast, you'll walk through the Falls Road to see the historical murals that cover the walls. The Titanic Quarter comes next, where you can pick between the Titanic Experience or hopping on a city bus tour depending on what interests you. After that, there's a tea stop in Ballycastle before heading to the Giant's Causeway, where 40,000 hexagonal stones create this unusual landscape. You'll settle into Portrush for the night.

- Day 2
Portrush to Donegal
Travel from Portrush to Derry, and you'll have good chunks of time to wander around this 'Derry Girls' city on your own or join a walking or bus tour if that appeals to you. There are museums, landmarks, and vibrant murals scattered throughout. From there, you'll head to Grianan of Aileach, a hilltop fort in County Donegal that some believe was where St. Patrick experienced baptism. Next comes Glenveagh National Park with Mount Errigal visible, and you'll grab lunch in a scenic spot. After lunch, you'll check out traditional fishing villages with chances to walk along the beaches before arriving in Donegal town by early evening.

Donegal to Westport
Leave Donegal heading south along the coast toward County Sligo, and Benbulben mountain dominates the views. You'll stop at Carrowmore to see Ireland's largest collection of megalithic tombs, some dating back over 6,000 years. Lunch happens in Crossmolina, then you continue into County Mayo and Achill Island. Keel Beach offers wild coastal scenery, and Slievemore's deserted village gives a sense of history with roots going back 5,000 years. The day ends with a two-night stay in Westport.

- Day 4
Westport
It's a short drive from Westport to Kylemore Abbey, where the imposing architecture and lush Victorian gardens make for nice walking around. You'll head into Connemara National Park next to see the rich green boglands and historical sites scattered through the area. Clifden gives you free time for lunch at one of the cozy local spots. The afternoon is flexible, and your guide will adjust the route based on what interests you and what the weather's doing. The Twelve Bens mountain range or the Sky Road might factor in, depending on conditions. You'll head back to Westport by evening.

Westport to Dublin
Travel inland, passing Lough Mask on the way to Cong, a charming village known for its traditional stone cottages and as the filming location for 'The Quiet Man'. You can explore the local film museum or walk through the restored 12th-century Cong Abbey. After that, you'll go through the scenic Maam Valley mountain pass before reaching Galway City, where busy markets, pubs, and restaurants give you plenty to see. There's free time for lunch, and if you're interested, there's Kilbeggan Distillery to visit (it's the world's oldest licensed distillery). The route heads east back to Dublin after that.
