Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    La Ciaccia Beach and Cohinas River Delta

    This day focuses on nature and downtime. You'll spend time walking along La Ciaccia Beach, which stretches about 15 km and gives you plenty of sea views. It's popular with people who do wind and kitesurfing if you're interested in that. Later in the day, head to the Cohinas River delta lagoon where you can relax and watch for birds.

  2. Day 2

    Departure

    It's time to leave Sardinia and head to the airport. If you have hours to spare before your flight, use them to grab breakfast or do a final walk around wherever you're staying.

  3. Day 3

    Cape Capo Testa

    You'll head out to Cape Capo Testa to see the dramatic rock formations and beaches there. The landscape here is really something, with rocky cliffs and views out over the water. When it's clear, you can actually see across to Corsica from certain spots.

    Olivastri Millenari di Santo Baltolu Reserve

    Today takes you to the Olivastri Millenari di Santo Baltolu Reserve where ancient olive trees grow, some nearly 4,000 years old. You'll walk among them and see granite cliffs near Lago di Liscia. It's quiet and the views of the landscape around you are quite nice.

    Roccia dell'Orso (Bear Rock)

    You're heading to Roccia dell'Orso, called Bear Rock because the formation actually looks like a bear. After a short ten-minute walk from the parking area, you'll reach it and get views of the blue sea and the La Maddalena archipelago spread out below.

    Asinara National Park

    A ferry takes you out to Asinara, one of Sardinia's more isolated islands, crossing the Tyrrhenian Sea. Once you arrive, you'll see wild nature and untouched beaches. The island is known for its white donkeys and rare plants and animals. As a national park, it's quiet and perfect if you like getting away from crowds.

The Parco Naturale Regionale di Porto Conte has walking trails where you can learn about the local plants and wildlife. The main attraction is Neptune's Grotto, which features underground caves and a sea lake inside.
