Glasgow/Troon
You'll arrive in Glasgow or Troon and head to the meeting point to drop off your luggage between 9am and noon. After that, you have some time to kill before boarding the Expedition at 4pm. Dinner is served onboard once you've settled in.

- Day 2
Hebrides - Isle of Lunga - Isle of Iona
The ship sails to the Isle of Lunga in the Treshnish Isles where you'll spend time looking for puffins and taking in the rugged scenery. You'll do a zodiac cruise near the cliffs and then hike up a hillside to see the puffins from closer range. Later you'll head to the Isle of Iona for a guided tour of the historic Iona Abbey, where you can learn about Scotland's Christian heritage.

St Kilda Archipelago
You'll travel to Hirta, the largest island in the St Kilda archipelago. The visit includes exploring the remains of the village and church, learning about the last people who lived there before evacuation in 1930. From there, a coastal cruise takes you to Stac Lee, Britain's tallest sea stack. You'll see northern gannets and get views across the archipelago from this dramatic location.

Thurso
The morning focuses on searching the cliffs at Duncansby Head and Dunnet Head for puffins, fulmars, and guillemots. Later, you head to Thurso, Scotland's most northern mainland town. There you can walk through the Caithness Horizons Museum, visit Wolfburn Distillery, or check out the ruins of Thurso Castle set within beautiful surrounding landscapes.

Papa Westray - North Ronaldsay
You'll travel to Papa Westray and North Ronaldsay in the Orkney Islands. On Papa Westray, you can walk or bike around to spot puffins and seals, and possibly see the oldest surviving house in Northern Europe. Later, you reach North Ronaldsay, which is great for stargazing. You can visit the lighthouse, the bird observatory, or learn about traditional farming methods on the island.

- Days 6 - 8
Shetland Islands
Over three days, the ship sails to the Shetland Islands. You'll explore different parts including Foula, Papa Stour (where just 15 people live), Hermaness National Nature Reserve, and Lerwick. Throughout your time there, you'll search for wildlife and visit ancient Viking settlement sites while learning about Shetland's history and distinct culture.

- Day 9
Kirkwall
As you head back through the Orkney Islands, you'll stop at Kirkwall, known as the 'Heart of Neolithic Orkney' because of its 5,000-year-old archaeological sites. You'll have time to explore on shore and can visit Skara Brae, one of the most important prehistoric settlements in the region if time allows.

Edinburgh
You'll disembark at the Port of Leith after breakfast. A free transfer departs at 8am for Edinburgh International Airport if you're leaving that day. Those staying in Edinburgh can arrange taxis from the port. Just remember not to book onward travel before noon on disembarkation day.
