What is the difference between China - The Big One vs Ultimate China? What optional charges or extra amounts we have to budget for Ultimate China tour? I'm a solo traveler and would not mind the shared room.

    Tour Details
    • Wendy Wu ToursOperatorWritten December 2025

The main differences between the 2 tours are as follows:

      • Both itineraries do go to very similar cities in China, but the Ultimate will also take in Lhasa whereas the Big One does not.
      • The Ultimate is a Classic comfortable paced tour, it has a physical rating of 3 due to the altitude in Lhasa and does require a certain level of fitness on the tour.
      • The Big One is a Go Beyond tour which means it features a slightly off the beaten track type of itinerary. It is for those who like to explore a bit more and go to places which are not featured in a lot of the touristy itineraries.
      • The Ultimate is a fully inclusive package which includes all touring, all meals and the only exclusions are drinks and tipping. The Big One is Inclusive which means that not all meals are included and we give our clients time to explore independently on some days if they wish.

My brother and sister are interested in this tour and they are from London. Any benefit if I fly to London to join the tour with them? Do you help UK residents to book the flights coordination?

    • Wendy Wu ToursOperatorWritten December 2025

Yes we can offer flights from London or most regional airports in the UK.

      TravelerWritten December 2025

Is it better for me to fly out from Houston or London? All of us are pretty healthy, can walk up the hill without an issue. We are not sure of the high altitude until we face the challenge. I assume you will take care of Tibet Travel Permit (TTP) for us. All we need is China visa. Is this correct.

    • Wendy Wu ToursOperatorWritten December 2025

We are able to arrange visas for those who are British passport holders and who live in the UK. The passports will need to be sent to the embassy. We can take care of the Tibet permit, once the visas are arranged and we have copies of the visas and passports.

The quote is in pound sterling and not USD which is higher than the price posted on Tourrader. The international flights appears on both inclusion and exclusion. Please clarify.

    • Wendy Wu ToursOperatorWritten December 2025

The price includes international flights in economy class. The flight times will be available 10 months before departure.

Please explain what is the meaning for Single Supplement vs Half Price Single Supplement.

    • Wendy Wu ToursOperatorWritten December 2025

The single supplement is the total cost of wat it would be before the discount, and the half price is the discounted amount.
