Rome
You'll arrive at Rome airport and head to your hotel to check in. The rest of your day is free, so you can wander around Rome at your own pace and get oriented with the city.

Rome
Today you've got 24-hour hop-on, hop-off bus tickets to move around Rome. You can check out the Colosseum, walk through the Roman Forum, see the Pantheon, and visit Spanish Steps. By evening, head to Trevi Fountain and toss in a coin like the tradition goes.

- Day 3
Rome to Sorrento
After an early breakfast, you'll join an organized tour heading to Pompeii. You'll have lunch at a local restaurant there, then walk through the famous ruins that were buried by Mount Vesuvius back in 79 AD. Later you'll travel to Sorrento for dinner and spend the night.

Sorrento to Capri
Following breakfast, you'll take a passenger ferry to the island of Capri for a guided boat tour around it. Your ticket includes access to Piazza Umberto I by funicular, where you can browse shops or relax at a cafe. You'll head back to Sorrento in the evening.

After breakfast and checking out, you'll spend the full day on an organized tour along the Amalfi Coast, seeing the cliffside towns that line this route. Then you'll check into your hotel on the Amalfi Coast for the night.

- Days 6 - 8
Amalfi Coast
You have three days to explore the Amalfi Coast on your own. Walk through Positano's pastel streets, visit Capri or the Blue Grotto, check out Ravello's villas, try a beach club, hike the Path of the Gods, or take a cooking class. You can also sit down for dinner with sea views and sunset.

Amalfi to Rome
You'll leave the coast behind and head to Salerno to catch a train back to Rome. Once you arrive in the capital, a transfer takes you to your hotel where you can spend your final evening in Italy however you'd like.
