Malaga
You'll arrive in Malaga and board your 6-star Discovery Yacht. Get settled into your suite, then head to your private verandah for a drink to mark the beginning of your Mediterranean voyage along Spain's Costa del Sol.

Almeria
The yacht sails into Almeria where you can explore the historic city. La Alcazaba fortress sits prominently on the hillside, reflecting Spain's Moorish heritage. Walk through the lively streets and check out the historic areas scattered throughout this coastal town.

Landmarks La Alcazaba - Day 3
Alicante
You'll wake up in Alicante on the Costa Blanca. Head up the hill (or take the elevator) to see Castillo de Santa Barbara, which dates to the 9th century. Later, stroll along the palm-lined Explanada de Espana in the Old Town. If you're interested, book ahead for dinner at Night Market @ Koko's to watch chefs prepare Asian-inspired dishes.

Barcelona

Monte Carlo

Cannes

Portovenere
Portovenere arrives next, sometimes called the sixth Cinque Terre town and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The rocky coastline is striking, and the medieval town has narrow winding streets. It's less crowded than some of its neighboring towns, so you'll have more space to explore. The area has connections to poets like Byron and Shelley who visited for its character.

Landmarks Portovenere - Day 11
Marina di Carrara
Marina di Carrara puts you between sandy beaches and forested mountains on the coast. You can set up under an umbrella at a beach club or take a shuttle into Carrara town, where marble is used in everything from fountains to cathedrals. Look at the Apuan Alps and you'll see what looks like snow but is actually famous Carrara marble. From your verandah, watch the sunset over the water in the evening.

Livorno
Livorno has been a hub for sailors and traders for over 400 years, and it remains one of Italy's most international cities. Terrazza Magascani overlooks the waterfront if you want to sit and take in the harbor. Florence and Pisa are both accessible from here if you want to explore further.

Porto Santo Stefano

You'll arrive in Civitavecchia, the port for Rome, where ancient history and modern life meet. Have a final breakfast on board and say goodbye to your crew after your Mediterranean voyage. You have the option to join a post-cruise land tour from Rome to Venice if you want to extend your Italy experience.
