My 13-day tour of Japan was an amazing experience from beginning to end. The trip was well planned and included a range of potential destinations from iconic cities to historic sites, charming villages and spectacular natural landscapes. I particularly valued the balance of the programme, including time for guided visits, and opportunities to explore independently and taste local food. The tour guide was very good at all stages of the trip. They were always enthusiastic, helpful and packed with interesting information about Japanese culture, traditions and life. From the beginning to the end they were professional and ensured everyone was relaxed and fully briefed on the trip. The hotels were very comfortable, the transportation was very efficient and all transfers were very seamless. Although there were so many stops to make, the journey was never rushed or overwhelming. The attention to detail and good organization were very helpful, so overall, it was a very stress free experience. I came back home with great memories and lots of appreciation for Japan. This 13-day tour is definitely one I would strongly recommend to those who are looking for an overall and enjoyable trip.Show more

I really enjoyed this 13 day tour of Japan, and found it to be a very well-rounded cultural, historical, nature and modern tour. Our program had been carefully organised and included visits to a number of cities and regions, each of which had its own character. Visiting ancient shrines and castles, and enjoying the vibrant shopping streets and the beautiful mountains, was always a new and exciting day.Show more

I had a fantastic 13-day trip to Japan, seeing so much of the country on my own terms, in a comfortable time frame. The route was well planned and included a variety of sights such as historical temples, serene gardens, city attractions, and picturesque countryside. There was so much to see each day, and a balance of guided sightseeing and time to wander around. The tour guide was excellent throughout the tour. They knew what to say and were friendly and eager to share Japan's history, culture and local customs. They made great recommendations for food and shopping, and enhanced the experience. The transportation arrangements were smooth, resorts were comfortable and all the arrangements were done professionally. I was amazed at the smooth running of the tour, considering the duration. We had plenty of time to enjoy our time in each place and I never felt rushed or overwhelmed. The trip was a memorable 13 days and I would definitely recommend it to those who want to see Japan properly and enjoy it.Show more

This tour is genuinely great. 13 days through Honshu with a guide who actually knows their stuff with real details, not just the basic historical facts. The itinerary hits everything you want to see in terms of tourist places but also sneaks in places you'd never find on your own. Tokyo, Kyoto, all of it, but done in a way that doesn't feel rushed or touristy. Honestly the whole thing just flows really well as a vacation. Made the whole thing a lot easier than trying to plan everything out on my own.Show more

We enjoyed our tour of Japan's Honshu but believe it should be marketed and named a partially guided tour rather than as providing a private guide and driver. Japan is a very beautiful country and we felt very safe when we were unescorted, whether we were walking or taking the subway. I think it would be helpful for UME to provide more guidance for suggested activities on the free days. As experienced travelers we used Get Your Guide and Klook to find activities and tours, but we recognized that it may have been difficult to find and navigate to these activities if we were not seasoned travelers. Overall we were able to see a lot of facinating places during our tour and felt the itinerary was good, albeit busy. I was disappointed that we did not get to visit the Kawaguchiko Terjozan Park with the observation decks and Oshino Hakkai village and spring waters (both on our itinerary) on our day in Mt Fuji. Our guides in Kanazawa and Hiroshima were excellent which enhanced our experience significantly. Overall it was a good tour that provided us with a greater understanding and appreciation of amazing Japan.Show more

For tours departing after September 8th, 2026, a minimum payment of $75 is required to confirm your booking with UME Travel Co. Ltd. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
