- Day 1
Lima
You'll arrive in Lima whenever works for your flight and connect with your CEO and group for a welcome orientation. If you booked the optional cooking class, someone will pick you up around 10:00 (or 10:30 if you're traveling Aug-Dec) to head to a local market and restaurant. There you'll prepare and eat traditional Peruvian dishes, finishing up around 13:00.

- Day 2
Lima to Paracas
The morning's free to wander Lima on your own. Check out the peatonal pedestrian avenue and grab some ceviche or papa a la huancaina at a local café. Later you'll travel by bus down the coast toward Paracas, and once you arrive, there's time to try a Pisco sour before settling in.

- Day 3
Paracas to Nazca
If you signed up for it, head out early to the Ballestas Islands and look for sea lions, pelicans, penguins, and various birds. Then travel south by bus to Nazca, passing through the colonial town of Ica. You'll stop at a local winery and visit Huacachina, known for its sand dunes where you can try sandboarding.

- Day 4
Nazca
Start with a guided walk through Chauchilla, an ancient Pre-Inca cemetery with 2000-year-old mummies, bones, and pottery on display. After that, visit an artisan's workshop to watch modern potters creating Nazca style work. There's an optional flight over the Nazca Lines if you want to see these mysteries from above. In the evening, you'll board an overnight bus heading to Arequipa.

- Day 5
Arequipa
You'll arrive in Arequipa, called the 'white city', and have the day free to explore at your own pace. Optionally drop by the historic Santa Catalina Monastery to see colonial religious life, or sample regional food at local Picantería restaurants where alpaca, shrimp, pork, and spicy sauces are on the menu.

Arequipa to Chivay
Travel through Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve on a rough mountain road and watch for vicunas, alpacas, and llamas. You'll stop at Mirador de Patapampa, the highest point at 4,910m/16,109 ft, which offers views of nearby volcanoes. Then drive down into Chivay near Colca Canyon.

Chivay to Puno
Get up early for a guided tour of Colca Canyon to spot Andean condors. Afterward, travel by bus over the mountains and descend toward Puno on Lake Titicaca's shores. This lake sits at 12,507 ft and is the world's largest lake above 2,000m. You'll have time to walk through local markets and explore the city once you arrive.

Puno - Lake Titicaca Day 1
Board a boat and cross Lake Titicaca to reach the Taquile Islands community. You can choose to have lunch at a local restaurant with great lake views. Later cruise to another village for an overnight homestay on the shore, giving you an authentic look at how people live in the rural highland areas and experience local traditions firsthand.

Puno - Lake Titicaca Day 2
Leave your homestay around mid-morning and head back toward Puno, stopping at the Uros floating islands made entirely of totora reeds. The visit shows you how island life works here. You have options to visit the pre-Inca chullpas (funerary towers) at Sillustani or try kayaking on the lake if those interest you.

Spend the whole day traveling by bus from Puno to Cusco through the high Altiplano region. The mountain scenery is stark and worth watching throughout the journey. By evening you'll reach Cusco with time to find a restaurant for dinner or get ready for the Sacred Valley.

- Day 11
Cusco
Start the day with breakfast included, then you've got options depending on what sounds good. The Rainbow Mountain hike is available if you want to get out of the city and see the colorful peaks up close, or there's a cooking class where you can learn to prepare traditional Peruvian dishes. If you'd rather take it easy, walking around Cusco's streets works just fine too. Grab lunch at a local spot, spend time at a café, and basically shape the day however you feel like.

Cusco
Have breakfast at your hotel, then walk to Cusco Cathedral where your guide meets the group for a walking tour of the colonial side. You'll see colonial and Inca architecture throughout the city, visit the Sapantiana staircase waterfall aqueduct, and have lunch near the main plaza. The rest of the evening is free.

Sacred Valley
Take a full-day guided tour through the Sacred Valley. Visit a women's weaving co-op supported by G Adventures to meet artisans and learn traditional techniques. Tour a pottery making community, then eat buffet-style lunch at the G Adventures-supported Parwa Community Restaurant. After that, choose between hiking to Ollantaytambo storehouses for views or walking cobblestone streets and visiting a local Chicheria.

Sacred Valley
Explore the Sacred Valley with your G representative. Check out the striking Maras Salt Mines and the ancient Inca agricultural terraces at Moray, then drive through small villages with beautiful Andean countryside all around. Visit the Chincheros ruins, known as the birthplace of the rainbow according to the Incas, which has panoramic views of the landscape. Return to Ollantaytambo for the night.

Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes
Eat breakfast, then head to the Ollantaytambo ruins and climb 200 stone steps to the top for panoramic views. After that catch the scenic train to Aguas Calientes. You'll get a quick orientation walk around the charming town, then have free time for optional activities like the Machu Picchu Museum, Mandor Waterfalls, butterfly garden, or thermal baths.

Wake up early to catch the first bus up to Machu Picchu with your guide for a guided visit to this world-famous archaeological site. Afterward head back down by bus to Aguas Calientes to meet the rest of the group. Take the scenic train back to Ollantaytambo and connect by van to Cusco.

Cusco
Cusco's yours to explore at your own pace or just relax. Optionally go mountain biking, get a massage, or book the Culinary Bundle for a cooking class where someone picks you up around 12:30 and brings you back around 16:00.

Cusco to Amazon
Fly to Puerto Maldonado in the Amazon jungle lowlands. After a quick stop in town, drive to the pier and travel by covered motorized boat to the G Lodge Amazon. Along the way spot river birds and forest edge wildlife. The Tambopata Rainforest Area holds the world record for most bird sightings in one location. In the evening do a wildlife-spotting night walk and have dinner.

Amazon
Head out early with naturalist guides to experience the jungle at its wildest. Walk through the forest hunting for wildlife, then paddle a canoe on nearby oxbow lakes searching for anaconda, giant river otters, and black caiman. Relax in a hammock, swim in the local swimming hole, or visit a nearby plantation. After dinner go on a caiman-spotting cruise.

Amazon to Lima
