Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Madrid
You'll land at Madrid International Airport where your driver will be waiting to take you to the hotel. Check-in starts at 14:00, so you'll have time to get settled in once you arrive. After dropping your bags, the rest of the day is yours to wander around the neighborhood and get a feel for the city at whatever pace works for you.

Madrid
This morning you're heading out on a 1.5-hour open-top bus tour through Madrid. The guide will point out the Royal Palace, major museums, parks, and historic buildings as you make your way through the city's main neighborhoods. Commentary comes in both English and Spanish, so you'll hear interesting details about what's passing by. It's a good way to get oriented and see where everything's located.

Madrid to Toledo
You'll spend the full day on a trip to Toledo, about an hour away by air-conditioned coach. Once there, you'll explore sites representing the three cultures that shaped the city: Arab, Jewish, and Christian heritage spots including a monastery, synagogue, and church. There's free time midday to grab some tapas and rest, then you'll get a guided tour through the Cathedral of Toledo before heading back to Madrid.

Departure from Madrid
After breakfast at the hotel, your driver will pick you up for the ride to Madrid airport. Keep in mind that hotel checkout is at 12:00 noon, and it's smart to arrange your pickup for at least 4 hours before your flight departs. This gives you plenty of buffer time to get through the airport without rushing.
