Where do we put the luggage if the tours start directly from the airport? At what time does the tour start? Is the transfer back to the hotel in Muscat City included on the 5th day from Wahiba Sands?

Please note that the exact order of the tour program may change depending on how the group is formed. However, all tours will take place as planned. You will visit all the locations included in the program; they may simply be scheduled on different days than those shown on the website. On the last day, you will have a city tour, and after the city tour we will drop you off at your hotel in Muscat. On the first day, we can pick you up directly from the airport. You will be able to leave your luggage in the vehicle, and the tour will start at approximately 8:00–8:30 AM.

Is this tour five days of day trips from Muscat, and I make my own hotel arrangements? Where do I need to be for tour? Is there a central pick up spot, or do you do hotel pick ups? Where do you suggest I base myself to explore Muscat and the shore, restaurants, museums, shopping and sights?

Yes, this program consists of five full-day guided excursions starting and ending in Muscat. Accommodation is not included, so guests are free to choose a hotel. We provide hotel pick-up and drop-off from Muscat for all tour days. We recommend basing yourself in central Muscat, specifically Al Qurum / Shatti Al Qurum or Al Khuwair districts, which are close to beaches, museums, parks, restaurants, and are safe for independent exploration.

What are the accommodation options available? If we book our own accommodation, will there be pick up from the hotel daily? Or where would be the meeting point everyday?

In this tour price accommodation is not included. But we can book the hotel in Muscat for you. The price is 150usd per night for Single Standard room in Intercity hotel in Muscat (only breakfast included). Each day we will pick you up from your hotel in Muscat and drop you off back to your hotel in Muscat after the tour.

The tour allows travellers to see the major sights of Oman in just five days, from the city to the beaches and the great outdoors. One suggestion is that the tour to Wadi Shab can be challenging for people over 55 as it involves walking on pebbles and slippery surfaces and swimming in caves etc. which is more suitable for the younger and more adventurous. The tour to the islands also involves a 45-minute choppy ride in the open sea on a speedboat. However, overall an excellent tour.Show more

I visited Oman for a short period in March 2025. I booked daily tours from Muscat with Gidoman to some attractions in Oman, including city tour in Muscat, fantastic Wadi Bani Khalid swiming in warm waters, stunning sunset in the desert, visiting historic city of Nizwa, views of the green terraces in Jebel Akhdar, Bimmah Sinkhole and the highlight of the trip in Wadi Shab with and beautiful canyon and natural crystal pools. For the grand finale I took a boat trip to the Daymaniyat Islands, I could not imagine this paradise near Muscat, I have never seen so many turtles in my life! Communication with GidOman was smooth, every day I received a message with the pick-up times from the hotel and also the contact details of the guide. On each tour I had a different guide - Jamal, Mohammed, Qais, Mazin, Roman, they were all extremely polite, helpful and very knowledgeable about Omani culture. Despite the Ramadan period, the guides always made an effort to find places to buy food for lunch, as most restaurants are closed during this period. Transfers from the airport to the hotel were also arranged by GidOman. Oman is an incredible country, with nature, history, culture and extremely welcoming people. I really recommend Gidoman to discover the wonders of Oman!Show more

  If I arrive 10:40am can I still be picked up and do city tour or afternoon snorkling tour? 4, 5 and 6th do long day trips. 7th morning city sightseeing or snorkling?   We can suggest you this program: On 3rd of December we can suggest a Snorkeling group tour to Daymaniyat Islands. Duration: around 4 hours. The tour starts at 1:30pm from port Seeb. 4th of December - Wadi Shab and Sinkhole group tour. 5th of December - Desert and Wadi Bani Khalid group tour. 6th of December - Nizwa and Jebel Akhdar mountains group tour OR Nizwa and Jebel Shams group tour, without overnight. Unfortunately, we have city Muscat group tour only on 4th of December.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 2nd, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 2nd, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with GidOman. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
