Reykjavik
You'll land in Keflavik and head to your lodging in Reykjavik. The rest of the day is yours to wander around the capital and get your bearings at whatever pace suits you.

Thingvellir - Haukadalur - Gullfoss
This morning kicks off with Thingvellir National Park where you walk between the American and Eurasian continental plates. From there you'll head to Haukadalur's geothermal zone to see the Great Geyser and Strokkur, which shoots water up around 20 meters roughly every ten minutes. By late afternoon you reach Gullfoss waterfall to finish out the day.

Seljalandsfoss - SkГіgafoss - Cape Dyrholaey - Kirkjubaejarklaustur
Head south to check out some of Iceland's major waterfalls. You'll stand right behind Seljalandsfoss, then move on to the 60-meter Skógafoss where you might catch rainbows in the mist. Later you explore Cape Dyrholaey's black sand beaches and rugged cliffs, then swing by the Skógar museum to see how people lived here centuries ago. You'll stay in the Kirkjubaejarklaustur area overnight.

Head out to Skaftafell National Park for an easy hike or walk through the landscape. Then you'll see Vatnajökull, Europe's largest glacier covering over 8,000 square kilometers. The day wraps up at Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon where icebergs float from the calving glacier toward the ocean.

HГ¶fn - East Fjords - Egilsstadir
Drive from the fishing village of Höfn through the East Fjords, which are geologically the oldest part of Iceland with rocks roughly 16 to 20 million years old. You'll spot waterfalls, lava caves, small villages, and local wildlife while passing through deep valleys and high fjords on your way to Egilsstadir, the main trading hub and gateway to East Iceland's legendary heritage.

Egilsstadir - Lake MГЅvatn
Travel across the desolate, lunar-like Mödrudalur plateau to reach Lake Mývatn, which offers all kinds of natural features for explorers. You'll walk through pronounced volcanic formations and check out the Námaskarð geothermal zone with its bubbling mud springs, steaming vents, and colorful mineral deposits showing the intense forces below the surface.

Mývatn Nature Bath and Relaxation
Spend the day exploring around Lake Mývatn in North Iceland. You'll see frozen waterfalls near steaming hot springs, showing the contrasts in the landscape. Later, relax in the Mývatn Nature Bath, the geothermal pool in the north, surrounded by dramatic scenery.

West Iceland - Reykjavik
The Land Adoption Museum takes you back through Icelandic settlement history. You'll see the lava falls Hraunfossar and the smaller Barnafossar, learn about the medieval poet Snorri Sturluson in Reykholt, then finish with a brief tour of Reykjavik's main attractions.

You have the full day to explore Reykjavik however you like. Wander through shops, sit at cafes and watch the city, and definitely check out Harpa, the striking opera house. If you prefer getting out on the water, boat trips leave from the Old Harbour for whale watching. Bring warm layers and binoculars so you can see these marine mammals properly from a distance.
