- Day 2
Lisbon
A guided tour takes you through Lisbon's seven hills this morning, wandering through charming alleys and seeing the iconic azulejo tiles and Atlantic light. The historic Belem neighborhood is where you'll learn about the Portuguese navigators who departed from here centuries ago. After lunch, the afternoon is free so you can head to Bairro Alto and check out its viewpoint on your own. By evening, you'll return to the hotel from Restauradores Square, which is lively with shops and cafes.

- Day 3
Lisbon to Lagos - Cape St. Vincent - Albufeira
You depart early heading south, crossing the long Tagus River bridge toward the Algarve. The historic city of Lagos comes first, where you'll walk through the charming center and see the old port before grabbing lunch. In the afternoon, it's on to Cape St. Vincent at continental Europe's westernmost point, where windswept cliffs rise dramatically and the historic Sagres fortress sits nearby for photos. The day ends in Albufeira, a coastal city where you can relax on the beach or explore the lively historic center.

- Day 4
Albufeira to Faro - Mértola - Évora - Lisbon
You travel to Faro this morning for a leisurely walk through this peaceful Algarve capital. Then it's into the Alentejo region to see Mértola, a walled town-museum sitting on the Guadiana River with an impressive castle and whitewashed houses throughout. Next comes Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage city filled with medieval palaces and Gothic religious buildings. You'll visit the Chapel of Bones, which contains over 5,000 skeletons (admission included). After that, you travel back toward Lisbon, arriving at the hotel by evening.
