Itinerary
- Day 1
Madrid to Évora
Start by leaving Madrid and heading to Mérida, where you'll spend time at the Archaeological Ensemble checking out the Roman Theater and Amphitheater, both part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After grabbing lunch in the historic center, you'll continue into Portugal and arrive in Évora, another UNESCO site with its whitewashed streets and Renaissance architecture scattered throughout. The afternoon and evening are free for wandering around at your own pace and getting a feel for the city.

- Day 2
Évora - Marvão - Castelo de Vide - Tomar - Fátima
This day takes you through Alentejo's countryside, with stops in the walled town of Marvão for panoramic views over the landscape. From there, head to Castelo de Vide to see the castle and explore the medieval Jewish quarter, including a former synagogue that now operates as a museum. Later you'll reach Tomar and visit the Convent of Christ, a former castle-convent belonging to the Order of the Templars. Before arriving in Fátima, there's a stop in Aljustrel to see Lucia's house, and if you're interested, you can attend the candlelight procession at the Sanctuary in the evening.

- Day 3
Fátima to Porto
Travel north to Porto, arriving around 11:00 a.m. After settling in, you'll take a 50-minute cruise on a traditional Rabelo boat along the Douro River, getting views of the riverside from the water. The rest of the afternoon and evening are yours to explore the Ribeira district on foot, wandering through narrow streets lined with historic merchant houses and stopping at charming cafés before heading back to your hotel.

- Day 4
Porto - Braga - Guimarães - Pinh
Start the day in Braga, Portugal's religious capital, and walk through its historic cathedral. You'll then head to the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus, ascending via the world's oldest cable car with great views along the way, then descending through an impressive staircase. Next stop is Guimar\u00e3es, Portugal's first capital, where you'll see the magnificent Palace of the Dukes. After lunch in the surrounding vineyards, you'll descend into the Douro Valley, passing through Sabrosa (birthplace of Magellan), and reach Pinh\u00e3o to check out the charming train station with its traditional tile decorations. From there, a one-hour Douro River cruise follows (or a scenic drive with viewpoint stops from November to March). You'll arrive in Coimbra as evening sets in.

- Day 5
Coimbra - Batalha - Nazaré - Óbidos - Lisbon
Spend the morning in Coimbra, Portugal's third-largest city, exploring the old University and walking through steep, charming streets. Heading south, you'll reach Batalha Monastery, an impressive medieval structure and royal mausoleum. After lunch and a walk in Nazaré, a fishing village and seaside resort, take the elevator up to the old city for ocean views from above. Then it's on to Óbidos, a picturesque town with white streets decorated with flowers. You'll arrive in Lisbon around 7:30 p.m.

- Day 6
Lisbon
This morning includes a guided sightseeing tour of Lisbon, going through the seven hills, narrow alleys, traditional tiles, and the way the Atlantic light fills the city. You'll visit Belém, the neighborhood where Portuguese navigators set sail during the 15th century. The afternoon is free for you to explore Bairro Alto and check out its viewpoint whenever you feel like it. By evening, you'll head back to your hotel from Restauradores Square, which has plenty of vibrant bars and cafés to walk through.
