- Day 1
Rome
You'll arrive in Rome and get transferred to your hotel. After settling in, you'll have the rest of the day free. Stop by the hotel reception desk in the afternoon to check the information boards for your tour details.

- Day 2
Rome
A three-hour guided tour combines walking through Imperial Rome with a panoramic bus ride. You'll see the Arch of Constantine, Colosseum exterior, Imperial Forums, Circus Maximus, Baths of Caracalla, Basilica of Saint Mary Major, Pyramid of Cestius, and Castel Sant'Angelo, wrapping up at Vatican City around 11:00 a.m. Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel are optional. Later, you'll head to Trastevere for dinner, returning by 8:30 p.m.

Rome
You have the full day to explore Rome on your own pace. Optional excursions are available depending on the season: Capri island from April to October, or Naples and Pompeii from November to March.

- Day 4
Rome - Orvieto - Castiglione del Lago - Siena
You'll travel through Umbria to Orvieto, a medieval city on a flat summit. After checking out the viewpoint, you'll ride escalators up to see the Gothic cathedral. From there, you'll head to Castiglione del Lago on Lake Trasimeno for a walk and lunch. Later, you'll continue to Siena in Tuscany, spending the afternoon exploring Piazza del Campo and the Duomo.

You'll leave Siena and stop in Monteriggione, a charming medieval village with cobbled streets and ancient walls. Next comes San Gimignano, famous for its tall medieval towers. After lunch, you'll travel to Florence, arriving in the early afternoon.

Florence
Starting at the Michelangelo viewpoint, you'll see the city spread out below you. Then you'll walk to the historic center for a guided tour covering the Gothic Cathedral (Duomo di Firenze), Ponte Vecchio with its goldsmith shops, and Piazza della Signoria. You'll have free time after to explore on your own.

- Day 7
Florence - Pisa - Cinque Terre - Genoa
You'll head to Pisa and take a tourist train to Piazza dei Miracoli to see the famous Leaning Tower. From there, you'll travel to the Ligurian Riviera and visit Cinque Terre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with five villages. You'll arrive by train (tickets included) to one of the villages, usually Vernazzo though it might be Manarola or Corniglia during peak times. After lunch, you'll take the train to Levanto and then a bus to Genoa for free time in the city center.

You'll travel to Santa Margherita Ligure and then head to Portofino, one of Europe's most exclusive destinations. You'll have time to stroll by the sea and relax. After lunch, you'll continue to Milan for free time to see the Gothic cathedral in Piazza del Duomo and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.

- Day 9
Milan - Lake Orta - Lake Maggiore - Verona
You'll explore the Italian Lakes region, heading to Lake Orta in Orta San Giulio, a well-preserved medieval city. You'll take a train ride to the medieval center, then a boat to the Island of San Giulio to see the monastery. From there, you'll go to Lake Maggiore and stop in Stresa with an optional visit to the Borromean Islands, known for Isola Bella with its baroque palace and terraced gardens. After lunch, you'll head to Verona.

Verona - Venice
You'll explore Verona, then depart for Venice, arriving around 1:00 p.m. A boat trip to St. Mark's Square is included, followed by a guided walking tour of the canals and a chance to see Murano glasswork. You'll have leisure time afterward (consider a gondola ride if you like). You'll stay in the Mestre district.

You'll travel to Padua and visit the magnificent Saint's Basilica, a popular pilgrimage site. Next, you'll head to the Adriatic coast to San Marino, an independent country on a fortified mountain. After lunch, you'll cross through the Apennines to Gubbio, known for the Palace of Consuls and its 12th-century cathedral. You'll end the day in Perugia.

- Day 12
Perugia - Assisi - Naples
You'll start with a panoramic tour of Perugia, famous for chocolate. You'll ride moving walkways across the rocky outcrop and explore the medieval underground city with stone-paved streets and squares, guided by a local expert. Then you'll travel to Assisi for lunch and a visit to the Basilica of St. Francis. In the afternoon, you'll head south (Rome drop-off is possible) and arrive in Naples by evening.

After breakfast, you'll head to Naples port and board a ferry to the Island of Capri. You can take the funicular up to Capri town to walk around and see the views. After lunch, you'll reboard the ferry and head to Sorrento, a charming tourist town at the base of a cliff, where you'll have free time. Later, you'll continue to the Gulf of Salerno and stay in Salerno.

- Day 14
Salerno - Pompeii - Naples - Cassino - Rome
You'll visit Pompeii and explore the ancient Roman city buried by Mount Vesuvius (tickets and guided tour included). Next, you'll head to Naples to explore the historic quarter, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and have time for lunch. You'll continue to Cassino to visit the abbey, a site of significant World War II battles. You'll arrive back in Rome by evening.
