can you please advise if we are able to upgrade the Rail pass to 1st class and what the additional cost would be for this

All trains are second class. Trains without a ticket class next to them are a shorter train that does not have classes of tickets. Collette purchases group tickets for each train journey, so there is no possibility for upgraded train tickets on Alpine Lakes and Scenic Trains. Swiss Rail Passes are not used on tour.

Would we be responsible for transferring our luggage between hotels?

All the guests will leave their bags outside their hotel room door in the morning that it's time to depart to the next Hotel and the tour manager should advise this to everyone the night before. The hotel staff handles taking larger checked size luggage from the rooms to the bus and from the bus to the hotel. All you will take is your personal items you wish to carry or any carryon bags.

Tour was a good picture of Switzerland with a combination of cities, villages, and mountains. The dip into Italy was nice for a chance of pace and scenery. Our group was phenomenal. Our guide, Vili, did a wonderful job of creating a cohesive group that was supportive, friendly, and fun. The Matterhorn had to be the best experience. Our time there was clear weather and just a very light snow, perfect.Show more

  We offer round trip in destination transfers from airport to hotel on arrival and hotel to airport on return. These transfers are priced at $75.00 per person, per direction. We only offer one optional excursion for this tour called Treasures of Lake Orta on day 5 of the tour. This is $85.00 per person.
