You arrive in Singapore and get settled into your accommodation. After that, take the MRT to Marina Bay Sands to see this iconic 3-tower hotel and its rooftop up close. Stay through the evening to catch the light and water show, and you'll spot the Helix Bridge lit up beautifully against the night sky.

Singapore
Start by crossing Cavenagh Bridge into Singapore's historic district where you'll find City Hall, the Old Supreme Court, and Parliament House. Then head into Chinatown to walk through the food center and try dumplings and noodles. After that, experience the colorful vibe of Little India. If you want, you can swing by Gardens by the Bay to relax among the Supertrees.

Singapore to Kota Kinabalu
Fly from Singapore to Kota Kinabalu on Borneo island and check into your accommodation. Later in the day, your guide takes you to the Night Market where you'll haggle for local goods, try exotic fruits, and sample local spices. The day wraps up with a group dinner serving Malaysian cuisine.

Tunku Abdul Rahman Islands
Wake early and board a speedboat heading to the Tunku Abdul Rahman Islands. You'll walk jungle paths, snorkel in clear turquoise waters surrounded by colorful corals and fish, and relax on white sand beaches. During lunch, you'll eat the packed meal while taking in views back toward Kota Kinabalu.

Mount Kinabalu
Head out early with your guide on a road trip toward Mount Kinabalu, East Asia's highest peak. Travel through lush mountain landscape at 1,500 meters elevation. Stop at Pekan Nabalu market to sample exotic fruits, then visit the Botanical Gardens to see rare plants and wildlife like hornbills. A short hike into the mountain landscape is optional.

Kinabatangan River
Travel by minibus to the Kinabatangan River for a boat safari through mangrove swamps and rainforest. Your guide helps you spot proboscis monkeys, crocodiles, monitor lizards, and dwarf elephants. You'll check into your jungle lodge and have dinner while the in-house nature expert shares stories before you settle in to sleep with jungle sounds all around.

Kinabatangan River
You wake to jungle sounds and take an early boat safari to watch the rainforest come alive with wildlife calls. Back at the lodge, explore the Hornbill Boardwalk with the naturalist and see rare plants including the huge Rafflesia flower. After lunch at the lodge, attend an orangutan talk about endangered species. Later, you'll take an electric boat safari in the afternoon.

- Day 9
Selingan Island (Turtle Island)
Fly from the jungle back to Sandakan, then board a speedboat to Selingan Island (Turtle Island), a sanctuary for endangered sea turtles. Swim and snorkel in the clear waters. As sunset approaches, join rangers with flashlights on the beach to watch turtles lay eggs and mark nesting sites. You'll see baby turtles crawl across the sand toward the sea.

Take a city tour of Sandakan, try fresh seafood at Central Market, explore the historic Sim-Sim village and Phh Jih Syh temple, then catch views of the bay from Tanah Merah Hill before finishing at the Rainforest Discovery Center.

Sandakan to Kuala Lumpur
Fly from Sandakan to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia's capital. After arriving, you can use public transport (pay locally) to get around. You have the choice to relax at your accommodation or explore streets, food spots, and the urban energy of KL.

Kuala Lumpur
Start with the iconic Petronas Twin Towers and their skybridge (book tickets online beforehand). Visit the colorful Sri Mahamariamman Temple. In the evening, take a street food tour through Chinatown's Petaling Street for dumplings and satay, then head to the trendy Bukit Bintang district for shopping and snacks. The Heli Lounge Bar is optional if you want rooftop views from an actual helipad.
