Hanoi
A private eco-tour takes you to Ri and Moc villages where you'll pick tea leaves on a traditional 30-year-old plantation. Hanoi to Ha Long Bay
Check out in the morning and head to Ha Long Bay, traveling across the Red River Delta with its green rice paddies. Once you board the cruise, you'll see limestone rock formations and karst grottoes. After seafood lunch and time on the sundeck, you'll kayak or swim to explore the grottoes up close, then have an early dinner back on the boat.

Ha Long Bay to Hanoi
Start early to catch the sunrise over Ha Long Bay. Breakfast comes in the dining room followed by a Tai Chi class on the sun deck. You'll visit a limestone cave with stalagmites and stalactites, then check out and have brunch while sailing back to the harbor before transferring to your Hanoi hotel.

Hanoi to Ninh Binh (Hoa Lu - Tam Coc)
Travel to Ninh Binh Province (80 km south of Hanoi), called 'Ha Long Bay on land.' Visit Hoa Lu, Vietnam's ancient capital, and see temples from the Le and Dinh Dynasties. After lunch in Tam Coc, you'll take a boat through karst formations and caves, then cycle for an hour through villages, rice fields, and rocky outcrops before heading back to Hanoi.

Hue
In Hue, you'll visit Emperor Khai Dinh's tomb and Emperor Tu Duc's tomb with stops to see how conical hats and incense sticks are made. After lunch at a local restaurant, check out the Imperial Citadel, An Hien Garden House, and the seven-story Thien Mu Pagoda on the Perfume River. You'll return to your hotel by boat along the scenic Perfume River.

Hoi An
Meet at Vy's Market Restaurant at 8:30am to walk through Hoi An's central market and learn about fresh noodles, fish, spices, herbs, rice and exotic fruits. At the restaurant, you'll explore interactive food counters with banh mi, dumplings, and rice paper making. The 2.5-hour cooking lesson has instructors demonstrating Vietnamese dishes before you prepare them yourself. You'll eat what you cooked and get recipes plus a Vietnamese cooking utensil to take home.

Ho Chi Minh City to Mekong Delta (Cai Be - Can Tho)
Pickup happens at 7:30am from your hotel. You'll travel to Cai Be and board a boat to see the floating market on the Tien River. Visit small villages to see how coconut fudges and rice popcorn are made, enjoy fresh fruit and traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music. Paddle through small canals, visit Tan Phong Island, and have lunch prepared by locals in a garden. After cycling through village orchards and visiting Ba Kiểt's ancient house, return to Cai Be and travel by bus to Can Tho for the night.

Next, go to the Silver Pagoda which holds cultural treasures including a 90 kg golden Buddha with 2086 diamonds. Finish at Wat Phnom Temple, an important pagoda built in 1373 on an artificial hill.

Drive 15 km south to the Killing Fields of Choeng Ek where approximately 17,000 people were executed. Stop at Russian Market for cheap clothing, Buddha images, woodcarvings and silver jewelry. End your day with a sunset cruise on the Tonle Sap and Mekong Rivers.
