Sofia
You'll arrive at Sofia airport and get transferred to your hotel. Your French-speaking guide will meet you there and you'll have a chance to connect with the group. After settling in, you'll have dinner and spend the night in Sofia.

- Day 2
Rila
Start the day exploring Sofia's city center, then head out to Rila Monastery, a UNESCO site founded in the 10th century by John of Rila. It's one of Bulgaria's most important spiritual and historical places. You'll grab lunch in the mountains and then return to Sofia for dinner and overnight.

Plovdiv
Travel to Plovdiv, Bulgaria's second largest city. Your guide will take you through the Roman stadium, ancient theatre, Lamartine House, the Church of St Constantine and Helena, and Dzoumaja Mosque. After that, you'll walk through the narrow streets with their colorful facades. Have lunch and then you'll have free time in the afternoon before dinner and overnight.

Head to Stara Zagora, one of Europe's oldest cities, also called the City of Linden Trees. You'll check out the city and visit the Historical Museum to see different periods of history. After lunch, you'll travel back to Plovdiv for free time in the afternoon, then dinner and overnight.

Koprivshtitsa

Gabrovo
Head to Kazanlak in the Rose Valley and visit the replica of the Thracian Tomb, a UNESCO site. After lunch, you'll continue to Gabrovo where you'll stop at Shipka Church and check out Etara, an open-air ethnographic museum showing how people lived and worked during the Bulgarian National Revival period. Dinner and overnight in Gabrovo.
