Itinerary
- Day 1
Mont Saint-Michel
You'll travel by coach through the Normandy countryside, pulling into Mont Saint-Michel around 11:30 am. A guide takes you through the medieval village, and you'll walk the city walls and Grande Rue with all its shops and museums before climbing up to the Abbey at the peak. The 8th-century Benedictine abbey gets its own guided tour where you'll learn the history. After that, you have free time to wander those narrow streets or grab a crêpe before heading back to the bus at 4:30 pm. Then it's roughly 2.5 hours by coach to Angers, where you'll stay the night at Mercure Lac de Maine.

- Day 2
Loire Valley Castles - Angers - Langeais - Chenonceau - Chambord
This morning starts with a quick look at Château d'Angers from outside, then you go in for a guided tour of this medieval fortress. Inside you'll see two châteaux, including the oldest keep in France from around 1000 and Château de Louis XI built in 1465, both with wax figure displays showing historical scenes. From there you head to Langeais, then drive 45 minutes to Chenonceau where you'll find a restaurant for lunch. After eating, it's a 20-minute drive to Château de Chenonceau, the one built right over the Cher river, and you'll have time to walk through it. The day wraps up at Chambord, the largest Loire castle, so you can see its architecture before the bus heads back to Paris, arriving around 8 pm.
