Itinerary
- Day 1
Flight to Lima
Your flight departs from Germany, Austria, or Switzerland on LATAM or another airline, heading to Lima to start your Peruvian journey.


- Day 2
Lima
You'll arrive at Jorge Chávez Airport and travel along the coast to Miraflores, where you're staying at a first-class hotel. Later that evening, there's a group meeting to go over what's coming up during your time in Peru.

Lima to Trujillo
After breakfast at the hotel, a guided tour takes you through Lima starting with Larcomar shopping center and the Park of Love in Miraflores. Then you'll see modern San Isidro and the historic center with Plaza de Armas, the cathedral, and San Francisco monastery. You'll grab your luggage and fly north to Trujillo later in the day.

- Day 4
Trujillo
Following breakfast, you'll visit the Moche temple complex with its Sun and Moon pyramids, plus explore the Pyramid of the Moon. In the afternoon, Trujillo's historic center shows off colonial architecture and the Plaza de Armas. Lunch at a local restaurant leaves time to either wander around or check out the Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology and History.

Huancaco
The day starts at Huaca Arco Iris with its dragon motifs, then moves to Chan Chan, the largest adobe city in the Americas. You'll see palace ruins, streets, water systems, and residential areas. By afternoon, relax on the beach at Huancaco where you can see traditional reed fishing boats and have included lunch.

Trujillo to Chiclayo
Leaving Trujillo after breakfast, you'll stop at El Brujo archaeological site to see three temple pyramids and the museum with the well-preserved Princess of Cao mummy. Continue to Chiclayo for a city tour covering colonial buildings, Paseo de las Musas park, and the witches' market.

Chiclayo
About an hour from Chiclayo, the Valley of the Pyramids of Túcume has 26 adobe pyramids from the 11th century and a museum with Chimú, Lambayeque, and Inca artifacts. On the way back, stop at the Tumbas Reales de Sipán Museum to see ornate jewelry and ceramics. You'll head to the airport for an evening flight to Lima.

Lima to Paracas
This morning allows free time to browse shops in Miraflores or visit the ocean at Larcomar. Later you'll meet other tour participants and head to the bus station for the roughly 3.5 hour trip south to Paracas, a relaxed coastal town with harbors and restaurants.

- Day 9
Paracas to Nazca
From El Chaco jetty, a boat takes you to the Ballestas Islands where you'll see the candelabra image and spot sea lions, penguins, and seabirds. After visiting a pisco distillery, you'll travel to Huacachina oasis with the option for a buggy tour and sandboarding. A brief stop at Maria Reiche viewing platform in Nazca comes before checking into your hotel.

Nazca
A scenic flight in a small Cessna (4-6 passengers) gives you views of the full Nazca Lines including the spider, hummingbird, and astronaut figures. Eat lightly before flying due to the tight turns. After landing, you'll visit the Chauchilly burial ground to learn about Nazca culture. You'll then travel by coach to Arequipa, arriving around midnight or early morning depending on your schedule.

- Day 11
Arequipa
After an early arrival, you'll have breakfast at the hotel, then explore Arequipa, known for its bright sillar stone buildings. See Plaza de Armas, the cathedral, town hall, La Compañía church, and San Camillo market. The UNESCO World Heritage monastery of Santa Catalina is next, followed by the Yanahuara viewpoint for city and Misti volcano views. Visit the Museo Santuarios de Andinos to see the mummy Juanita. Your afternoon is free for leisure.

Arequipa to Colca Valley
You'll travel about 150 km toward Colca Valley, seeing vicuñas in their natural habitat and views of the Andes. Patapampa Pass sits over 4,900 m with volcano views including Sabancaya and Ampato. After roughly 5 hours you'll reach Chivay for optional lunch, then optionally relax at the thermal springs of La Calera. Drink plenty of fluids and eat small meals to adjust to the altitude.

Colca Valley to Puno
Departing at 6:30 am, you're heading to Colca Canyon for the day's main event at Cruz del Condor viewpoint. You'll pass through villages like Maca, damaged by a 1991 volcanic eruption. At 3,800 m, Cruz del Condor offers chances to watch condors in their rock face nests. After photos and lunch, it's about 5 hours to Puno and Lake Titicaca.

Floating Islands and Amantani Island
Departing from Puno port, you're starting a 2 day Lake Titicaca experience. First stop is the floating islands of the Uros, built from reed bundles with optional kayaking available. You'll then take a motorboat to Amantani Island where local families welcome you for the night. Walk to ruins at the island's highest point for lake views, and join local dances at the community center.

Amantani to Taquile Island
After breakfast with your host family, say goodbye and head by motorboat for roughly two hours to Taquile Island, home to around 2,000 people and known for skilled artisans. Enjoy typical lunch at a restaurant and explore Inca temple remains on the island. The men of Taquile are particularly skilled at weaving and knitting, visible in their work and traditional headdresses. You'll return to Puno by boat, arriving around 5 pm.

- Day 17
Cusco
Explore Cusco either morning or afternoon, starting with Plaza Mayor where the cathedral and Korikancha Temple of the Sun stand. Check out the artists' quarter in San Blas and see the wooden pulpit in the church. Look for the Stone of the 12 Corners on Hatunrumiyoc Street before taking a bus to four ruins: Kenko, Pukapukara, Tambomachay, and Sacsayhuamán. The rest of your day is free.

You're heading to Machu Picchu through the Sacred Valley. Start at Pisac, a market town where you'll walk colorful streets and explore the Inca fortress. After a buffet lunch in Urubamba, continue to Ollantaytambo to visit its Inca fortress and wander through the picturesque town.

An early departure from Ollantaytambo station puts you on a train to Machu Picchu, the trip's main highlight. Once in Aguas Calientes, take the bus up to Machu Picchu itself. Explore this 15th century Inca city, visiting Plaza Principal, Temple of the Sun, the sundial, and royal palace. Return by bus to Aguas Calientes and train back to Cusco for your overnight stay.
