Itinerary
- Day 1
Athens
You'll arrive in Athens and get picked up by an English-speaking assistant who'll take you to your hotel. Later in the afternoon, meet up with your tour rep for a briefing about what you'll be doing and what to see around the city. The rest of your time is free to wander around Athens on your own, so grab dinner somewhere and get settled in.

Athens to Olympia
Start the day with a stop at the Corinth Canal to get some photos, then head to the Theater of Epidaurus and check out its archaeological museum. From there you'll go to Mycenae to look around the prehistoric Acropolis, the Lions Gate, and Agamemnon's tomb. Later you'll drive through central Peloponnese and reach Olympia by evening for dinner and your overnight stay.

Olympia to Delphi
After breakfast, walk through the ancient Olympic stadium where the first games took place around 776 BC, and then spend time in the Museum of Olympia. You'll cross the Rion-Antirion Bridge, a pretty impressive modern engineering project. By dinner you'll be in Delphi where you'll stay the night.

Delphi to Kalambaka
Following breakfast, you'll visit Delphi, a UNESCO World Heritage site that was central to the ancient world. Check out the Oracle of Delphi and the Delphi Archaeological Museum, which has the Bronze Charioteer among other things. Later you'll come down Mount Parnassus and head to Kalambaka in the Thessaly plains for dinner and rest.

Kalambaka to Athens
Early morning you're heading to Meteora, a UNESCO site with six active monasteries sitting on top of massive rock formations. There's a brief stop at Thermopylae to see the statue of King Leonidas. You'll get back to Athens by late afternoon.

Athens
After breakfast, start with a panoramic tour of Athens' Neoclassical center with your English-speaking guide, checking out Parliament, the University, and the Temple of Zeus. Then go to the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum. In the evening, take a walking tour through Anafiotika, Thissio, Monastiraki, and Plaka neighborhoods.

Athens
You have a free day to explore Athens on your own, or you can join an optional full-day cruise to three islands in the Saronic Gulf: Aegina, Poros, and Hydra. The cruise includes lunch with traditional Greek music and dance, plus hotel transfers.

Athens to Istanbul
You'll head to Athens International Airport and fly to Istanbul. An English-speaking assistant will meet you, show you around the city, and brief you on what's coming up. After transferring to your hotel, the rest of the day is yours to do whatever you'd like.

Istanbul
You'll have breakfast and then join a full-day guided tour of Istanbul's main landmarks. Stop at Hagia Sophia, the Constantinople Racecourse, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, and the Grand Bazaar with over 4,000 shops. Lunch is included at a restaurant in the city center. You'll have free time to explore the old city before heading back to your hotel.

Istanbul to Cappadocia
After breakfast at your hotel, the morning and early afternoon are free. You can walk around Istanbul at your own pace. In the afternoon, you'll fly to Cappadocia and transfer to your hotel, then settle in and rest after your journey.

Cappadocia
Following breakfast, you'll spend your entire day exploring Cappadocia's landscapes. Visit Göreme Valley's open-air museum with ancient churches and frescoes, tour pottery-making workshops in Avanos, trek through Pasabag Valley with its Fairy Chimneys, check out Devrent Valley's rock formations, and see Göreme Panorama for views. You'll end at Ürgiip before flying back to Istanbul for the night.

Istanbul to Cairo
After breakfast, transfer to Istanbul International Airport for your flight to Cairo. An English-speaking team member will help you with visa processing and give you orientation on Cairo and your tour. You'll head to your hotel to check in, then have the rest of the day free to relax.

Cairo
You'll have breakfast and then start exploring Cairo's major landmarks. With an English-speaking guide, visit the Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx, Great Pyramid, and Pyramid of Khufu. Optional activities include visiting King Djoser's pyramid at Saqqara, an evening light show at Giza, or a dinner show on a floating Nile restaurant.

Cairo to Luxor
After breakfast, the day is free or you can choose an optional tour visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art to see Tutankhamun's treasures, the UNESCO World Heritage district with the Citadel of Saladin, Khan el Khalili bazaar, and the Coptic neighborhood. In the late afternoon, transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to Luxor. Then board a cruise ship on the Nile for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Luxor
After breakfast, visit the temples of Luxor and Karnak with your guide. Cross the Nile to explore the Necropolis of Thebes and the Valley of the Kings with 62 pharaonic tombs. See Queen Hatshepsut's funerary temple at Deir El Bahari, Ramses III's temple at Medinat Habu, and the Colossi of Memnon. Return to your cruise ship and sail toward Esna, passing through the lock in the evening.

Edfu to Kom Ombo
You'll wake early to see the sunrise in Edfu, have breakfast onboard, then take a carriage ride to the Temple of Horus, the best-preserved Egyptian temple. After lunch onboard, sail to Kom Ombo and visit the temple dedicated to Haroeris and Sobek. Check out the mummified crocodile display before dinner onboard and sailing toward Aswan.

After lunch onboard, consider an optional felucca ride on a traditional Egyptian wooden boat to see Elephantine Island and Kitchener Island with its botanical garden. Optional visits to Aswan Dam and Philae temple dedicated to Isis. Return to your cruise ship for overnight.

Have breakfast onboard and then disembark. Transfer to Aswan Airport for a domestic flight back to Cairo, where your team will pick you up and take you to your hotel in the city.
