Germany to Palermo
You'll fly from Germany and arrive in Palermo, where someone meets you at the airport for the drive to your accommodation in the Trapani area. This region is known for its salt-white landscapes and small charming towns along the coast. After you settle in, dinner happens together this evening.

- Day 2
Erice
Following breakfast, you head out along Sicily's west coast for the day. There's an easy hike through Zingaro Nature Park with coastal views and hidden swimming spots, then lunch at a seaside resort like San Vito Lo Capo. From there you go to Erice, a medieval town on a hilltop with narrow streets, and you'll see Maria Assunta church and old Phoenician walls. Try the local Ericini almond cookies before returning for dinner.

Palermo - Cammarata
This morning starts with breakfast before heading to Monreale to see the cathedral with its gold mosaics and attached cloister. Later you're in Palermo's center checking out the Palatine Chapel in the Norman Palace, the cathedral with royal tombs, and Quattro Canti square. An orientation walk takes you through the city's mix of history and culture. By late afternoon you drive toward the Sicilian mountains to reach Cammarata, a town sitting between 600-950 meters up.

Prizzi - Corleone - Cammarata
Today you go into Sicily's interior to see lesser-known places where history and regional culture blend together. You visit Lercara Friddi, visit the mountain village of Prizzi, and tour the Real Casina di Caccia, a royal hunting lodge. Then Corleone, famous from The Godfather, gives real history rather than movies. You continue through Sican Hills Nature Park to the remote hermitage of Saint Rosalia. Back in Cammarata, dinner features local specialties.

Piazza Armerina
You spend the day with two significant ancient sites. Start with a long walk through the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, a UNESCO site with Greek temples including the Temple of Hera, Temple of Concordia, and Temple of Zeus. Next to it is the Kolymbetra Gardens. In the afternoon you head to Piazza Armerina to see the Villa Romana del Casale, another UNESCO site with Roman mosaics covering over 3,000 square meters. You stay at an agriturismo in that area overnight.

- Day 6
Noto - Syracuse - Etna-Catania Area
You start in Caltagirone, famous for its ceramics, and climb the Santa Maria del Monte staircase with 142 majolica-tiled steps for views. After that you go to Noto, a baroque town with elegant palaces and churches. Then Syracuse comes next, once Greece's most powerful city, where you see the Greek theater, Latomie del Paradiso, and the Ear of Dionysus. You walk through Ortigia, the old town, visiting the Arethusa spring and the Cathedral of Syracuse. By evening you're at a country house in the Etna-Catania region.

Optional Mount Etna and Taormina Excursion
This day is flexible for relaxing at your accommodation or exploring on your own. If you want activity, there's an optional paid trip to Mount Etna and Taormina. You'd drive through lemon and orange groves up to Europe's highest active volcano, reaching the Silvestri crater around 2,000 meters, or taking a cable car and jeep higher to about 2,900 meters. Afternoon time goes to Taormina, where you walk Corso Umberto and see the ancient theater with bay views.
