Itinerary
- Day 1
Stockholm
You'll land at Arlanda Airport and pick up your rental car, then spend the afternoon on your own schedule exploring Stockholm. Walk around the city streets and check out Drottninggatan, where you'll find shops, bars, and cafes lining the main thoroughfare. It's a good way to get oriented and grab dinner or a coffee as you settle in.

- Day 2
Stockholm
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll join a sightseeing tour covering several major Stockholm sites. Start with Gamla Stan's cobblestone streets and historic buildings, then see Stockholm Cathedral and the Nobel Museum. From there, the tour takes you to the Royal Palace where you can watch the changing of the guards. Later, head to Djurgarden to visit the Vasa Museum, which houses the famous 17th-century warship that sank on its maiden voyage.

Stop to see the Dalahasten wooden horse and wander through Sundborn village to visit artist Carl Larsson's house, where his creativity shaped the space around him.

Drive to Rättvik and Nusnas to see where Dalahasten wooden horses are still produced, then head to Mora. This birthplace of painter Anders Zorn lets you tour his former house and museum, which holds an impressive collection of his paintings and works.

Karlstad - Bohuslän - Gothenburg
After breakfast, you'll drive west toward Sweden's coast and the Bohuslän region, known for dramatic cliffs and thousands of islands. Check out the Bronze Age stone engravings at Tanumshede, then explore charming coastal villages like Lysekil before reaching Gothenburg. In the city, you'll see Masthuggskyrkan church overlooking the harbor, one of Europe's largest botanical gardens, and Feskekörka, an indoor fish market from 1874.

- Day 7
Gothenburg - Lake Vättern - Västerås
You'll walk along Avenyn Avenue through Gothenburg in the morning, then drive east through the Lake Väättern region. Stop in Jönköping and Granna village, which is famous for its Polkagrisar peppermint candies. Later, visit the 14th-century monastery of Saint Birgitta on Lake Vadstena's eastern shore, then drive to Örebro Castle with its romantic moat setting. You'll finish the day in Västerås.
