Itinerary
- Day 1
Edinburgh to Inverness
Start by crossing the iconic Forth Bridges into Scotland, then head to Dunkeld for a forest walk through beautiful woodland. From there, you'll drive into the Highlands where your guide shares stories about clan history and rebellion. The day includes stops at Culloden and Clava Cairns to explore their historic significance. If weather allows, there's time for a swim in Loch Ness while looking for Nessie. Tonight you'll stay at Lochside Hostel right on Loch Ness shores (through October), giving you evening views across the water instead of heading to Inverness yet.

- Day 2
Inverness to Isle of Skye
Head west toward the Isle of Skye, starting with a walk through Corrieshalloch Gorge where the landscape opens up nicely. You'll drive through Torridon with its ancient mountains and scenic views surrounding you the whole time. After crossing the water near Eilean Donan Castle, you'll arrive at Kyleakin on the Isle of Skye as the day winds down.

- Day 3
Isle of Skye
Spend the full day on the Isle of Skye, and you'll actually walk around more than you'll sit on the bus. There's a hike up to one of the island's distinctive rock formations with incredible views from the top. Throughout the day, your guide shares local folklore and stories while stopping at multiple scenic spots across the island. You'll get a real sense of why it's called the Winged Isle.

- Day 4
Isle of Skye to Oban
Leave the Isle of Skye by ferry during summer months and head south to see some of Scotland's most iconic landmarks. You'll stop at the Glenfinnan Viaduct (that famous Harry Potter bridge) and see the Bonnie Prince Charlie monument in the area. The route continues through Glen Coe with its haunting landscape before arriving in Oban by evening. Note that from November through March, the tour ends in Fort William instead and skips Oban.

- Day 5
Oban to Edinburgh
On your final day, travel through Argyll and into the Trossachs National Park where you might spot Highland cattle grazing. You'll pass through William Wallace country while your guide tells stories about Scotland's fight for independence. After that, it's the journey back to Edinburgh for goodbye time and reflecting on your week in the Highlands. Your guide may adjust things based on weather or to make the most of your experience.
