Itinerary
- Day 1
Dublin to Kinsale
Head out from Dublin and drive south into the Irish countryside where you'll see rolling green hills and quiet rural roads. First stop is Cahir Castle, sitting on an island in the River Suir, which gives you a good sense of medieval Irish architecture and history. After that, you'll head to Blarney Castle where the grounds are worth walking around, and if you're interested, there's the famous Blarney Stone to kiss (it involves leaning backward, so be prepared). The day includes a tour of Jameson Whiskey Distillery where someone will walk through how they make whiskey and you'll get to taste some. Later in the afternoon, you'll arrive in Kinsale, a fishing village with colorful buildings lining the streets and plenty of pubs to check out for dinner.

Kinsale - Cobh - Waterford - Kilkenny
Leave Kinsale and head to Cobh, a historic port town where the Titanic stopped before its final voyage, so there's some interesting history there. From there, you'll travel along the Copper Coast, which is a UNESCO-listed Geopark with dramatic cliff views and coastal scenery. Next you'll arrive in Waterford, Ireland's oldest city founded by Vikings back in the 9th century. Time there lets you visit the Crystal factory if that interests you, check out museums, or wander through the Viking Triangle area to see what remains of that era. In the evening you'll continue to Kilkenny where the restaurants and pubs are lively and friendly.

The main stop is Glendalough, home to a 6th century monastery and an iconic round tower that's one of the most photographed spots in the park. From there you'll travel through the park's central section and cross Sally Gap, a mountain pass with good views, then head back toward Dublin with drop-off around 18:30.
