  • Day 1

    Dublin to Dingle Peninsula

    Leave Dublin at 8:30 AM from Nassau Street and drive through the Wicklow Mountains. Your first stop is Glendalough's monastic site before 10 AM to avoid crowds and capture peaceful photos of the round tower. One traveler notes: "The morning light hitting the ancient gravestones creates an incredibly atmospheric experience. Wear waterproof shoes as the grass is usually dewy." Stop for lunch in Kilcullen before continuing west to the Rock of Dunamase ruins. In the afternoon visit Adare, often called Ireland's prettiest village. Visit the ancient beehive huts and Gallarus Oratory, spending about 30 minutes at each site. The views at Slea Head are unforgettable.   • Day 1

    Dublin to Kinsale
