    Asked on January 28th, 2026

What's the availability of the sail for 2 adults? What are the rules/restrictions on luggage amount and size on board the gulet trip? As we are travelling extensively prior, is there anywhere we can leave large suitcases in Zakynthos securely? Confirming that all cabins have there own ensuite bathroom? Will there be any swimming off the gulet during the day?

    • Encounters TravelOperatorWritten January 2026

For this trip, on the 1st August 2026 date, we still have available standard and premium cabins - subject to continued availability.

We can't facilitate storing your luggage offshore, no. If you will be returning to your last hotel, you may store the luggage there. We suggest one soft bag per person since you'd be carrying your luggage from the shore onboard, and back off again, and you'd need to be sure your luggage doesn't take up too much cabin space in already rather small cabins.

Where premium cabins are offered, these are the same as standard level cabins, the difference relates to the bathroom facilities, where standard cabins have a wet-room and premium cabins have a separate shower cubicle.

Yes, the gulets dock in several bays and coves where you can jump off an swim or snorkel.

    Asked on January 11th, 2026

Possible to know more about the drinks on board? Wine/beer? Is there a bar or do people BYO? Also are the cabins air con or have fans?

    Accommodation
    Meals
    • Encounters TravelOperatorWritten January 2026

To answer you question on drinks, there are various options, you can choose from two tailored drink packages, designed to suit different preferences and budgets. Additionally, we provide comprehensive drink menus for both onboard purchases and pre-orders, allowing you to select specific beverages and quantities in advance and most beverage are available for that. You can BYO but please note that a corkage will be charged and there is nowhere to store your personal drinks to keep them cold.

The cabins have fans and AC but please note, that the they work only when the generator is working and due to local regulations, the normal generator must be turned off, after midnight on various ports, except the silent ones, that we use after midnight also the power supply, from the shore at some smaller ports is not powerful enough to operate all our A/C units, simultaneously. Thus you must keep in mind, that there are possibly hot nights, especially during mid June, July, August and mid September, where the A/C, does not work after midnight and many of our guests decide to sleep on board, under the stars! If you are not prepared to do that, we strongly suggest to include an overnight a/c & fan service. For our guests that are interested to operate their a/c and fan after midnight, we provide an optional service, that costs 140 euros per person per week and if you decide to purchase it, you will be able to use your ac unit in your cabin, from midnight till 8 am. This service must be pre-booked and cannot be purchased while on board.

    • Encounters TravelOperatorWritten August 2025

The larger boat is for our other trip named Mykonos Party At Sea. If you are looking at booking the Set Sail from Zakynthos trip, you'd be following this itinerary, on one of the smaller gullets. We are taking bookings for 2026 and we'd be happy to help you book the trip for July 2026's departure dates.

Set Sail From Zakynthos Tour: Join us on a Greek adventure, exploring Zante and its neighbouring islands. We'll take you to beautiful bays, visit sea caves and local villages all whilst enjoying Greek hospitality onboard our traditional gulet. We'll start our voyage from the Old Town of Zante, before sailing along the coast to the fishing village of Agios Nikolaos, which is located around a small harbour, dotted with small shops and tavernas. Leaving the island of Zakynthos behind, our next stops are Ithaca and its port town of Vathi and the often-overlooked island of Meganisi, where we'll take full advantage of the secluded beaches. Next, is the picturesque island of Kefalonia, known for having some of the very best beaches in Europe. On Kefalonia we'll make a number of stops in Fiskardo, Agia Efimia and Poros. Our final stop is the famous Shipwreck beach on the north coast of Zante, before we return to Zante Old Town where our voyage comes to an end.
