  Bait and Switch then disappear - this is how this company operates. Despite the fact that BOTH the website and the tour brochure listed a jeep and horseback ride when transitioning from Arenal to Monteverde as included activities, we got neither with our tour. When we contacted Green World Adventures they told us they were "looking at solutions" only to come back at the close of business on Friday and say sorry it was human error, we didn't include it but we understand why you would think it would be included since it was listed on the website and brochure, then closed for the weekend and we didn't hear from them again until Monday after we had left Monteverde despite multiple attempts at contact. How you treat customers when there is a problem matters -this is not an acceptable response and we DO NOT recommend this company and WILL NOT use them again. Beyond the problems noted above, the rest of our experience left us wishing we had booked elsewhere or booked ourselves so we could have better researched the hotels. It was very much over priced for what we got- a 2 star experience for a 4 star price. Our supposedly bilingual guides on transport barely spoke English, two of our three hotels had no hot water so we ended up taking cold showers, one hotel had no air conditioning and one hotel was crawling with bugs That said, we separately booked some fantastic excursions and outside of our Green World experience we tried to make the best of our time in Costa Rica.Show more

We truly regret that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify several important points for future travelers. Regarding Day 5, we would like to clarify that you did receive the lake crossing transfer from Arenal to Monteverde. This is the core of the experience often referred to as the “jeep–boat–jeep” transfer. Despite the name, “jeep” is simply the commercial term used in Costa Rica, it does not involve actual jeeps, but rather standard transportation to and from the lake combined with the boat crossing, which you did experience. The confusion seems to have come from the fact that horseback riding appeared on a version of the Tour Details Page. However, this experience was not included in your final itinerary, the document you received before traveling and the one that reflects the confirmed and contracted services. If this activity was of particular interest, we could have gladly added it as an optional tour, and a simple question before or during the trip would have allowed us to clarify it or help you book it. We would also like to clarify that we did not receive any WhatsApp messages or phone calls from you during your stay in Costa Rica, even though our operational number is provided specifically for real-time assistance. Immediate communication is essential in order for us to resolve any issues promptly, and we are always available to support our guests throughout their trip. Regarding accommodations and transport, the hotels provided were within the advertised 2–3 star range, and shuttle drivers are not required to speak English unless specifically requested, which was not part of this tour. Air conditioning is also not standard in Monteverde due to the cooler climate. We did not receive any reports of lack of hot water, and without direct communication during your stay, we were unable to assist on-site. We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed the excursions you booked independently and that you made the most of your time in Costa Rica.   Pros: all transfers were all timely; drivers/guides all friendly. Cons: due to language barrier, communication was at times challenging. Received itinerary/vouchers a week prior to my departure; that was not enough time to review and research. The itinerary descriptions/vouchers were not clear; lacked important details (e.g., a hike to a waterfall does not mean 530 metal stairs; had we known, we would have chosen a hike that involved real trails; hot springs dinner was a buffet-food was sitting out for quite some time with limited options; and was not labeled for allergies; very disappointing after reviewing menu the prior day). We'd need to be convinced to try Tour Radar again.Show more

  The communication was good. The itinerary was reasonable; hotels 2-3 stars (the hotel in Manuel Antonio was the best), transport was ok. We did have a time stuck in traffic for 7 hours and a mixup of pickup time to go to the airport -- in the end, these were small annoyances and we dealt with them. Overall, trip was good and we enjoyed our first time in Costa Rica. Would probably use Your radar again.Show more

  Overall, I would say the trip was great. Most of our tour guides were just exceptional and I really enjoyed all of the activities we did. The transport between cities and to the different activities was great and almost always on time. My only complaints were that the hotel locations were very bad for guests who don’t have cars and are relying on walking, and that several of the activities did not provide a lot of information ahead of time that would have been very helpful to know.Show more
