Curtea de Arges - Vidraru Dam - Transfagarasan Highway
Start in Curtea de Arges walking through the old town to see what remains of the Wallachian princely court and the 13th-century Royal Church. Your private guide will take you through Arges Monastery, sharing the history of this important site. After that, you'll drive to Vidraru Dam, a 166-meter arch structure finished in 1966 that's worth seeing up close. Then comes the main event: the Transfagarasan Highway, one of the world's most dramatic mountain roads.
