Itinerary
- Day 1
Bucharest
Start your day at the Palace of Parliament, where you'll get a sense of just how massive this administrative building actually is. From there, head to the National Village Museum to see what traditional Romanian life looked like with its collection of houses and crafts. After that, walk along Calea Victoriei and you'll pass through the heart of the city, spotting historic churches and museums along the way. Stop at Revolution Square to learn about the events of 1989 when Ceausescu made his escape. Later, take a trip out to Snagov Monastery, which sits on an island and carries the legend of being connected to Dracula. Finish up at the Ceausescu Mansion to see where the communist dictator and his family actually lived before the revolution changed everything.
