Itinerary
- Day 1
Hanoi
Your guide meets you at Noi Bai International Airport and takes you to Hanoi for check-in. Later in the afternoon, you'll hop on a cyclo through the Old Quarter for about an hour, weaving through narrow streets lined with thousands of small shops where local life is constantly moving around you. The day wraps up with a traditional Water Puppet Show, a form of theater that's been around since the 11th century, then you settle into your hotel for the night.

- Day 2
Hanoi to Ninh Binh to Hanoi
You'll leave your hotel at 8:00am heading to Ninh Binh Province, arriving at Hoa Lu Ancient Capital around 10:30am. There you'll explore two temples honoring former Vietnamese kings and get some background on feudal dynasties from the 10th century. After a quick 5-minute walk to the boat station, you'll spend 2 hours on the water through Tam Coc, also called 'Halong Bay on land', drifting through three limestone caves along the Ngo Dong River with limestone mountains and rice paddies on either side. The drive back to Hanoi gets you there by 6:00pm.

- Day 3
Hanoi to Halong Bay
The cruise shuttle bus takes you from Hanoi through the Red River Delta toward Halong Bay, and you'll notice villages and local life along the way. Once there, you board a traditional sailing junk and spend the day exploring limestone caves, floating villages, beaches, and rock formations scattered throughout the bay. During the afternoon, there's a Vietnamese cooking demonstration where you'll learn to prepare some dishes, plus you'll have meals included and free time to relax. In the evening, you can try squid fishing or watch movies under the stars, then sleep on the cruise.

Halong Bay to Ho Chi Minh City
If you're interested, there's an optional Tai Chi session on the sundeck at dawn, then you'll have a light breakfast and a colorful brunch. The morning and early afternoon continue exploring Halong Bay's 2,000 islets and main attractions by sailboat. By late afternoon, the crew transfers you to Noi Bai Airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. You'll check in and spend the night at your hotel.

Ho Chi Minh City
Your guide picks you up at 8:30am from the hotel. You'll head to Cu Chi Tunnels, a massive underground network the Viet Cong used during the war, crawl through a section yourself, and see mantraps, an American tank, and B52 bomb craters. There's an option to shoot M60, M16, or AK47 rifles if you want. Back in Saigon, you'll tour the former Presidential Palace, War Remnants Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Central Post Office designed by Gustav Eiffel. You stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Ho Chi Minh City to Mekong Delta to Ho Chi Minh City
You travel to My Tho, the capital of Tien Giang Province, about 75 kilometers southeast of Ho Chi Minh City on the Mekong River. One or two islands are on the itinerary where you can see traditional handcrafts being made, coconut candy production, and bee farms. Then you'll take a boat trip on the Mekong to reach Vinh Trang Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in the delta. After that you head back to Ho Chi Minh City, check in at your hotel, and stay the night.
