The close proximity of the tracks to houses and businesses led to overcrowding and dangerous situations as tourists flocked to take photos and videos. If you still want to experience Train Street, the best way is to visit a cafe with permission. Avoid jumping barriers or standing on the tracks, and support local businesses. This tour included the North and South region in Vietnam, but basket boat ride in Hoi An is located in central region of Vietnam, so it's not included. The itinerary was well thought-out, with a good balance between days of travel/activities and free time. The organisers did a fantastic job ensuring everything runs on time and maintained an open line of communication. Special thanks goes out to our travel agent, Long, who was always available via Whatsapp from the moment of booking and dealt rapidly with any query we had. The tour consisted of a great mix between historical sightseeing and fun activities such as kayaking, canoe-riding and cave exploring - there’s something for everyone! We upgraded our hotels to 4* and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of service and accommodation. Really high standards - especially the Silk Path Hotel in Hanoi. The guides were all friendly, funny and passionate about Vietnam - doing their best to capture the imagination. All buses had AC and were clean. Again, all transfers were organised superbly.
