  BEWARE! This is a A BAIT AND SWITCH OPERATION! The tour advertises as a group tour Guided in English. However, this company is in Argentina and caters mostly to Spanish speaking tourists. So no English is spoken on the tour! Half day tour of Dubai - I had to sit on the bus listening to the tour guide provide all the information in Spanish. Then during the bathroom breaks, he would approach me and try to brief me. When I complained to their office that I had booked an English guided tour (as specified on their Tourradar site) so I travel with English speaking tourists and have everything presented in English, their response was that ALL their tours are dual language tours. They cannot control who books their tour???!! (I reminded them that the presentations were also only in Spanish. Their response: all our guides can speak English???) Desert Safari - the 4×4 vehicle stated in the brochure is a standard Toyota Land Cruiser we were picked up from the hotel with. He drove it off the road and across some sand dunes. We were at a commercial ATV park and the driver suggested if we want to really experience the dunes, we should rent the ATVs on our own. Cost - about $200 USD for 30 minutes. There was no natural Oasis midway through the tour or a camel farm. A guy with two camels was offering camel rides at the entrance of the ATV park. The trip to the Bedouin camp (implying a traditional Arabian camp) was a large capacity open air restaurant (about 500 people) with a buffet style dinner and a show which was mostly salsa and Spanish style dances with one belly dance. For the trip to Abu Dhabi I objected to sitting through the whole day on a bus listening to Spanish presentation. So they offered to provide me with an English guided tour but I HAD TO PAY! That was too much. I told them I would not participate in the rest of the tour and demanded a refund for the excursions part of the tour. Their Dubai partner referred me to their main office. Talking to their main office customer service (in Argentina) was also pointless as he or she would only repeat that they provide dual language tours and they can't tell who books their tour (when they have copies of everyone's passports). I sent them a screenshot of their Tourradar brochure where they specifically state: GUIDED IN ENGLISH. He then agreed, apologized and said he will raise the issue with his manager. That was on January 27th. As of today, no response from them. I would definitely caution any English Speaking person to not book any tour with Receptivo Aborigen Tours.Show more

  Dear Mike, We would like to clarify some points regarding the language of the tour. This specific tour is always operated as a bilingual tour (English–Spanish or English–Portuguese), as clearly stated in the tour description. We guarantee a bilingual guide, who provides explanations in both languages and answers questions in the language in which they are asked. At no point is the tour described as being guided exclusively in English. While the staff member who assisted you speaks Spanish, English, and French, please note that each tour has different guides and language combinations, and several of our tours are not guided in Spanish at all. As we do not filter bookings by passengers’ language, it is possible that on bilingual tours there may be a higher number of guests speaking one language over another. Throughout the tour, alternative solutions were offered, both complimentary and paid, to better accommodate your preferences; however, these were not accepted, and even some English-only services were canceled at your request.   All of the tour guides were excellent and very knowledgeable. My only issues were that we paid for a 5 star hotel and we got a 4 star hotel. I let a representative know about this hotel discrepancy and nothing was done or corrected. It was never addressed. Also, we were not informed that we would not be seeing certain listed sites until I asked why we didn't see them. I was then told they were closed due to Covid. Those sites are still listed in the online brochure and thus included in the price.Show more
